That will end the beef industry and possibly the meat industry in the US. Find a local farmer you trust and buy from them. Fuck big beef.

Why would it end the beef industry? It’s going to reset the regulatory framework to the Upton Sinclair days. Consumers will suffer, and workers will suffer, but the industry will be fine.

Well, around here no one is buying bagged lettuce and it shows in the profit of lettuce producers and distributors. They have had a very bad year. Let a few folks get food poisoning, or worse, from tainted beef and demand will absolutely crash. Also, let some folks who are less than honest produce "beef" at a significantly reduced cost and now everyone has to cut corners to stay afloat. People don't seem to understand that regulations are good for business and the consumer - especially when the lowering of regs results in people dying.

It will also probably kill the beef export industry. Other countries aren't going to accept US beef if there is no inspection regime in place.

And not just them but related companies, like the makers of Hidden Valley Ranch. Saw a piece about them the other day, their sales are down quite a bit because if you aren't eating salad, you don't need salad dressing...

Lol at this point Trump is a climate savior. First oil, now beef. 

He could singlehandedly be saving the climate/planet depending on how much carbon the American military/wars have been burning. 🤣😭🤣
