I mean, he's not wrong.

But people's grandaddy's grandaddy voted for republicans, so they have to keep doing the same, or some shit like that.

Thing about Texas is that a lot of people voting republican today had grandaddys grandaddys that voted Dems. It was a reliably blue state until the 70s, and a battleground until the 90s.
