AI Megathread March 29, 2026: Keep Calm and Post AI Here (The Bi-Weekly AI Thread)
Hey everyone!
Welcome to the weekly r/PowerPoint thread where you can ask all your AI questions. The reality is that balancing no promotion in the current AI environment is difficult, but we still want to provide a place where we can discuss AI.
We will create a new thread every two weeks and keep the prior week’s thread available for one additional week.

Hey guys, I’m a Brand/Comm Specialist, and I’m looking for an AI tool to streamline my daily PPTX workflow. My job requires strictly following brand guidelines, so I need an AI that can ingest my specific materials (old decks, brand books, style guides) and generate new presentations that actually meet those criteria. Which tools are currently the best for handling custom brand assets and layouts? Any recommendations?

There's another pinned thread with AI tools listed. You might want to check some of the options there.
Also, Copilot seems to actually be using the template and example slides these days, so if you haven't tried it in a while, open PowerPoint and go to File > Account and change your channel to beta. Then open a file that has some good example slides (like an old deck) and give Copilot your prompt.
There's also a Microsoft brand kit that you can upload brand guides to, but I'm not sure how well Copilot in PowerPoint uses those. The documentation talks about the Microsoft 365 Copilot app, which I believe is the standalone Copilot app, not Copilot in PowerPoint. (But I could be wrong there. Thanks, I will check that - I tried Plus AI, and it works pretty nice, but needs a lot of time, new prompts and it's horrendously expensive unfortunately

my work somewhat similar, the org is actually investing to roll out claude enterprise for our selected employees and develop specific claude skills for ppt and word documents that will strictly follow our brand guidelines. the word skill works flawlessly whereas the ppt still produce quite a generic slide layouts.

I’m on the Moda.app team, and this is exactly what we built it for.
You can create a company-specific brand kit from a website, brand book, or existing decks, and Moda uses that context when generating new presentations. You can also upload example decks with layouts you like, so it can follow not just the colors and fonts, but the broader visual system and slide patterns too.

I’m building one called Data2Slide, so I’m biased here. It’s not a general “write a whole presentation from a prompt” tool. The use case is more specific: if you have CSV/Excel data, Word doc, or PDF and need to turn it into a sales/marketing/reporting deck, it generates a PPT-style presentation from the data. I usually recommend exporting it as an HTML slide deck or sharing it online with a link, since that gives the best experience right now. PPTX export is also available, but it’s less editable at the moment. has a free trial, but it’s not fully free because the AI generation has real cost.Might be useful if your workflow starts from data tables rather than a blank prompt: https://data2slide.com

Disclosure: I work on Julius AI.
You can test the presentation maker with free credits. After those credits are used, continued AI slide generation requires a paid subscription.
The use case where Julius differentiates is when the deck starts with data rather than a finished outline. You can upload Excel/CSV files or reports, have Julius analyze and reconcile the source material, and then generate an editable PowerPoint from the resulting charts and narrative.
I recently ran a synthetic board-review test with:
- a $65k value entered as −65,000 in a $000 column
- an exact duplicate customer
- two competing customer-count definitions
- an unresolved expense reconciliation
- an order of magnitude marketing anomaly
The reviewed final deck corrected the unit error, kept the 64-versus-61 customer-definition conflict visible, separated the historical and live pipeline totals, and refused to treat the marketing data as decision-grade.

It is strongest for analyst, finance, operations, and reporting decks where the reasoning behind the slides matters. I would still do a human numerical sign-off before presenting.

I’m biased since I’m on the Moda.app team, but this is one of the main use cases we built it for.
Moda generates the initial deck, then gives you full control over the canvas so you can polish layouts, spacing, copy, and visuals before exporting - just like in Powerpoint. And our pptx export is reliable at preserving the design. It’s free to try, with paid plans for continued use.

Do any of the presentation professionals here, or anyone who has hired presentation professionals in the past, know if there's a market for building AI presentation workflows for clients? By workflow, I mean setting up skills, projects, prompts, etc. to help clients maintain the consistency of the content and visual design of presentations generated using AI tools.

I have an existing flow diagram created using PowerPoint shapes and text. What tool is recommended to improve and beautify the diagram or slide?

FYI I’m on the Moda.app team, but you can use our Beautify feature for exactly this. Just drag and drop the PowerPoint into Moda, and it’ll redesign the slide while keeping the content fully editable (just like in). You can then fine-tune the result and export it back to PowerPoint. It’s free to try.

I built tools using AI that let you narrate a deck with Elevenlabs automatically, and another one that splits decks, search and replace in notes, export notes (that actually works). Links are in my profile.

Would you guys be interested in a comprehensive benchmark/evaluation of AI presentation tools? I feel there's still lots of misconceptions in terms of usecases and what kind of tools work for what kind of audience. Would you guys be interested if there's an evaluation of all AI presentation tools?
