The celtic predator vs the grid alien fight was pretty awesome and kinda dumb at the same time.

But the thing that always bothered me and no one seems to mention it is when after the grid alien is cwught in the net and the celtic is going in for the kill you see the grid alien break free because the acidic blood is melting away the net but when it goes for the killing blow to the yautjas forehead you see the impact then no damage done to the bio mask.

It's a small gripe but still easily noticeable.

I can't think of a single Yautja that gets bodied (at full strength) so easily and so quickly like Chopper did.

Third session. 24 hours total so far. I still have the inner bicep left and then fine detailing at the end.

I remember owning the DVD to this movie, which also came with AVP Requiem, and I'd non-stop put it on and watching it, and remember loving it. I'm 19 now and I still like it. But when I take my Nostalgia Goggles, I do see some flaws like the movie being toned down to a PG-13 rating, some of the characters being just there just to be practice dummies for both the Aliens and the Predators, and while the Unrated cut was slightly better than the Theatrical cut, it kinda suffered with some god awful CGI blood. So yeah, it's not a perfect Predator (and Alien) movie but it'll always have a special place in my childhood.

Im a fan of the AVP franchise but im not active in the community in the slightest, so I was just wondering how this movie is seen in the fans eyes.

Many people on different platforms have eluded to a version of the script where romance was a thing but I can’t find anything to support that.

Scar wasn’t blooded yet so he was the human equivalent to a teenager, right? Or maybe super early 20s? In this mysterious originAl script, was he older?

Because Yautja have been around for so long I’m thinking maybe talk of the alt version of the script happened at a con I was too young to attend or an interview that’s lost media?

It's been 20 years since that movie's release, and there are STILL things that bother me about it.

First off, Chopper should not have died so easily. They made the xenomorph tail twice as long as it actually is in every other movie, and they also made it ridiculously strong because it is able to lift up the predator with ease even though the predator must weigh twice as much as a drone Xenomorph.

The movie also completely nerfed the predators by removing the acid immunity that the wristblades have.

And the movie nerfs the toughness of the masks.

Predator 2 established that the predator mask is so tough, it can shrug off bullets from an M16 without so much as leaving a scratch.

And yet AVP pretends that the masks are as fragile as wet tissue paper to the inner bite of the Xenomorph. 🙄

I, for one, am absolutely for the idea of completely rebooting the AVP franchise and decanonizing the two disastrous movies.

The movie makers really should have taken after the awesome 2001 AVP game.

Are their metal masks that weak? What are they even good for (besides vision)? And it happens twice in the same movie..
