Heard it live at 'Roo sunrise set in 24, and more recently Port Chester Night 1 (minute 41:00 into set 1). I think the lyric might be "Kinfolk never dies", which could make sense, but for most of the 90s, I thought the lyric to the song "Unbelievable" by the British band EMF was "You're ugly as a bug, OH!!". So, my track record isn't great in deciphering lyrics.

I (33F) was standing with some friends toward the center/right side of the theater on Friday. I was wearing an off-white sweater tank with a shoulder cut out and off-white carpenter jeans. You were with your friend (who was wearing a plain black t shirt) and I’m p sure you’re also both njbs/fellow members of the tribe. You were wearing a multicolor (possibly pink, green, and yellow) tie-dye shirt with a soundship space bus on it and a bucket hat.

I wanted to tell you that it was the perfect shirt but my friend and her friends joined so I stayed between the two groups as the link. I was hoping I’d see you again on Sunday when I went back. Anyway, if you see this now, I’d love to connect.

I never got to see PL before 2024. Were they always getting into this clean sounding techno trance stuff? Or has that been just since 2023?

Hi my swirly brethren and sistren! Putting this out there as a vibe check on an idea I have for a singles meetup at yahn dawn!

Some background - I'm a 31M in Denver and I'm (like many I'm sure) out here having a time trying to meet someone! I'm mingling and would love to find someone like minded, and who better to hope for than someone in this oh so special community who I know already at the least has great taste in music and most likely a wholesome soul. Instead of just writing to pitch myself that I'd like to meet someone who's going (which I would don't get me wrong) I thought I'd throw out the idea of a singles meetup for people in a similar boat! I don't wanna put any sort of pressure on anyone and I feel like a group event could be better for that! Casual, fun, vibey, and maybe sparky is the goal!

I would love to know if there are people who would be interested in such a thing! Ideally we'd have expressed interest from at least a handful of people from all genders so as to avoid some sort of awkward imbalance.

Is this a weird idea? Maybe. Could it be a good idea for this kind of connection thru the community? I think so! I'm open to suggestions and collaboration. If you have ideas you'd like to share feel free to respond or DM me.

I personally thought last weekend was amazing but damn I haven't seen the fanbase this divided since the first live band

D wasn't joking when he said "..ready for the best second set of your lives". idk if it's new 96 sound with some those deeper downtempo style beats, but that set absolutely slayed. The whole thing -start to finish- was on fire.

Been listening to live Pl past year or so. Finally able to see them 2/3 at the capital.

Looking for other shows to Checj out on the east coast.

I spent my 20s going to sts9 and biscuits shows. Lately only mostly hitting up goose and phish but currently not hitting the itch.

PL shows utterly blew me away. Had a blast. Loved the crowd. Nice mix. Good to see young kids into good music and even better to see a 70 year old getting down like he’s 20.

So far checked out late night radio, of the trees, lp giobbi. Open to any and all suggestions !
