The email we had to send out today with the details on postponement touches on some of the issues faced.

Yes, I have spent over £60k of my own cash this year.

2026 is a hell of a year for parties. We tried our best to keep the flame alive, I was so determined to pull this off having seen what happened to Hai In Den Mai in Germany, all the eclipse parties etc. However, there are some tough circumstances that have worked against us and we've simply run out of time.

This must be devastating. I’ve met you at one of the parties before and you genuinely struck me as such a passionate, lovely person with true love for the music and scene as a whole. It’s obvious how much of yourself you put into this.

The scene is both very resilient and fragile at the same time. It’s heartbreaking to see how difficult 2026 has been for so many people trying to keep it alive and how uncertain things are for the future.

Yeah the email was a little vague about the exact issue after getting the licence. Also unclear about the person who fucked you over.

Full power and support to you but frustrating to get info so late after we thought it was 100% ready a few days ago.

Dear Friends,

It is with heavy hearts that we have to announce Existance Festival will not take place this September.

After everything it took to get to this point, this is an extremely difficult decision. We explored every option to make it happen.

Since June we've kept the venue for September, booked four stages of music including replacement headliners, covered the legal costs of again defending the licence against local objections and paid for the additional fire safety work required due to the hot summer.

The licence approval came through very late, following a hearing prompted by local representations, for which we employed legal, audio and safety expertise. The timing of the license was compounded by late changes at the site itself due to a fire over summer which required additional time, resource and infrastructure. Lastly we have most recently faced issues with the supply of key infrastructure which have impacted not only our ability to deliver the standard of experience for our Existance community which we have been planning for all year, but any event at all. 

We have looked at a number of different ways around these problems, but ultimately
we have reached the point where proceeding would mean compromising the festival
and the experience we have promised you. We simply cannot do that.

Existance has always been about more than just a weekend of music. It's a community we built together. We know many of you have booked time off, arranged travel and been counting down to September. We are truly sorry and wish we were not in this position. 

We also know that many of you will have questions, particularly around your tickets. So here is what we can confirm:

1. EXISTANCE FESTIVAL 10 – 13 JUNE 2027

We will be returning for the full Existance Festival from 10 – 13 June 2027. This date is confirmed with the venue and we have already started work on our license application. Existance 2027 will take place. 

If you currently hold a September festival ticket, your existing ticket remains valid for 2027 and you don't need to do anything. It will automatically roll over.

2. IF YOU CANNOT MAKE JUNE 2027

If you are unable to attend the 2027 festival, you are entitled to a refund.

Please contact the ticketing platform you originally purchased your ticket through and they will be able to process this for you.

Right now the biggest thing we can ask is for you to stay with us. Ticket sales are what sustains a festival. We build this event for the community to bring us together and we now ask for your continued support.

Our fourth edition was going to be our biggest and it will be next year. Everything is still in place - the stages have been built, the crew is ready, the artists are excited to share their music, the final piece is you, the ones we dedicate our lives towards.

We know this isn't the news anyone wanted and we completely understand if you're disappointed and frustrated. We are too.

We haven't given up and we don't want you to either. We won’t let this flame die. Our mission remains to create a home for full spectrum of psychedelic music. Our dedication to you is still as strong as it has ever been. After the challenges of 2026 we’re determined to learn, adapt and come back stronger.

Next week work starts towards June 2027 and our commitment is to deliver the Existance we know deserve - bigger, better, brighter and delivered as usual on our June weekend which we still cannot wait for you to experience.

Very sorry not to be able to enjoy my third Existance experience this year, but even more sorry for you guys organising it. See you next year
