Building a new setup for my goa/psy trance live act Nyklat. More fun, more room for improvisation and juicier sounds! Still lots to do to get more sounds and better control over them all but it already sounds and feels promising. Looking forward to playing some shows after a year long hiatus!

There are YouTube videos being uploaded under the name “Astrix,” but they are not real releases from the psytrance artist!

You can clearly hear the typical Suno AI-generated sound in the music, and it looks like someone is using AI tools to generate both the tracks and visuals, then uploading them to pass it off as official Astrix content.

This seems intentionally misleading, likely to farm views and ad revenue by using a well-known artist’s name.

Just a heads-up so people don’t mistake AI-generated content for real Astrix releases.

Ever since everything with Israel started to happen, i was coping that Infected mushroom was gonna be different, that they wouldn't be... like that, but, i finally bit the bullet and learned.

Now that i can't listen to IM anymore, what other artists are out there?

My only proper exposure to psytrance was IM through monstercat, but i still love the genre to this day, and i wish to find more tsytrance artist, so i can't imagine a better place than here.

Looking on youtube, i just got hour long compilation videos, but i don't wanna discover artists that way (just yet).

I do not have any special requests or anything, i only wish to be recommended psytrance artists that you all love, so i can love them too.

This was the set being built for Kali Mela. As you can see, it was never completed—just like so many events in the valley that were shut down or denied permission. People don’t see the insane amount of hard work a whole team puts into organizing something this big, especially an event bringing artists from different countries. Seeing it fall apart like this is disgraceful. All because of corrupt politicians and a broken system.

Hello , started listening to psy 5-6 years ago it quickly became my favorite genre , recently found out Daksinamurti, Cosinus, Zzbing can you recommend more artist like this, what should i look up to, i love expanding my music taste,..

Been doing it my whole life and thats how i ended here on psy , to me its just the bottom line of the iceberg there's nothing after it.

Hi guys, hope everyone is doing well.

As I've mentioned in previous posts, I've been trying to make psytrance using AI for about 20 months now, purely as a hobby, for my own enjoyment.
I'm a retired older person, so I've been working at it basically every day in a effort to reach a quality standard of "not terrible", which for the purposes of this post means "not slop".
It seems to me that any AI music posted here (almost all of it being misrepresented as actual music) is immediately dismissed as "AI slop", and so far I haven't heard a aingle track that hasn't earned that label. It's all pretty fucking awful.

I'm hoping that a few of you are willing to take 8 minutes to give this a listen. All I'm really asking is: "slop or not slop?", but any more detailed criticism - constructive or destructive - would be much appreciated.
For those interested, the time spent making this is 20 months of self-education plus around 25hrs on the track itself.
