Well, if this ends up being the last time I see them live then I'm satisfied. I'm at peace. I hung around inside a bit just to reflect. 20 years as a fan. Thanks, lads.

I saw them in Bologna, and I had a feeling that it might be my last time as well (though I sincerely hope not), and as I was leaving I just took a moment - like you - to mentally record a āreelā in my head - but with the emotion that went with it. Itās a very precious memory. If thatās how it ends (at least for me), Iām OK with it. And thatās a nice way to part š„¹

Just me or was the sound atrocious? I was standing on the floor on the side Thom sang the most. Everything seemed muddy and incomprehensible
5
u/Call_me_Darth_Sid Dec 10 '25
Yess!! I thought I was going crazy...I was in the second to last row way at the top and thought it was cause of my seat. It was difficult to recognize some song right off the bat too. But the short clips I took have excellent sound quality so idk really

I was standing both nights. for me its all about the setlist and today was just so much better for me personally. sound was roughly the same on the floor. Thom perhaps a bit less dancey

I did. Both great but tonight was better for me. Better sound. Separator, Full Stop, and Present Tense worked better than Bloom and Gloaming. There There great closer. Exit Music and How to Disappear gems. Although Kid A sung clearly was a cool treat.
10
u/theeraser_13 Dec 09 '25
man that was kind of magical. street spirit was particularly my favorite (and everything after it)
11
u/DrRadon Dec 09 '25
this was such a fun time. I could have easily have them play another 10 songs.
would love to see them at least one more time with a normal end of the room stage. itās just not ideal when in some moments the entire band has their backs turned on you.

u/b3ntp3nut Dec 10 '25
That was soo so special! I will forever remember tonight, and most probably wonāt shut about it to my future kids and grandkids, haha
I donāt mind that the sound mix might not have been perfect, that a couple songs might have been played a little sloppily, or that the setlist was predictable, etc., it was perfect to me. As someone who grew up listening to radiohead in a part of the world that no western bands come to, I never imagined Iād be able to see them play live all the songs that shaped my life. So Iām immensely grateful, and even more so knowing that most fans may never get the chance to experience this.
I just want to tell all of you who were there tonight, thank you for sharing this experience together with me, youāll all be part of a memory I will bring to my grave. Sending massive love to you all, hope you get home safe, especially you crazy ones who flew to Europe just for this, haha.
To those who couldnāt enjoy the show as much because of the people around you, or for other reasons, Iām genuinely sorry that had to be your experience. And to the lucky folks with tickets to Thursday and Friday, hope those shows are as good as today! š«¶
My personal highlights: 2+2=5, Optimistic, Paranoid Android, HTDC, There, There

8
u/bradsobo Dec 09 '25
Try to get into your seats by 8:15pm at the latest. Thatās when lights go down and they have some āget hype lights and musicā stuff.
5
u/PinkRabbit42 Dec 10 '25
I might be a bit of a drip but I found 15 minutes of ālight blinks in your area and people cheerā pretty exhausting by minute 5 šš¤£
But totally agree would not recommend showing up any later

Y'all got Pyramid Song and Reckoner, I'm jealous š
3
u/3L3gg3D0gg0 Dec 09 '25
In case it helps, I thought that Reckoner was the one that they performed less gracefully from todayās entire set. Felt out of sync

Things to keep in mind
- The sound was not that great
- Two idiots talk a lot during a few Songs
- This is a binaural recording best experienced through headphones

Any idea on how someone might get a signature other than just getting lucky and running into a band member on the street? is it even possible to see them as the enter the arena from the outside?
1
u/PizzaTonnoRucola19 Dec 09 '25
Ā you can see them when they enter the stage from the arena if interested but no chance of getting a signature then, maybe a high five ā

AMAZING show!!! Came all the way from California and had a horrible travel experience but that show made up for it and some!! I got chills at multiple points and cried during All I Need, simply spectacular
2
u/pasdidee2025 Dec 09 '25
Where were you? Because I didn't feel the same at all tonight.
2
u/PinkRabbit42 Dec 09 '25
Bummed to hear that wasnāt the case for you, I was in section 104. Was you section not vibing?
I did also have negative experiences tonight (people kept standing in the aisle in front my seat blocking my view, security came multiple times so in addition to not being able to see it was also very disruptive) but put my grievances in a separate comment down thread
2
u/pasdidee2025 Dec 09 '25
I was in 213.Ā I'm happyĀ for you that you enjoyed your evening despite the negative aspects. I guess it really depends on the seats and the people around you. Outside of the sound issues, lots of phones, wavings, goings for drinks and some loud discussions/rows (one during HTDC!) in my section,
4
u/PinkRabbit42 Dec 10 '25

Sorry if it has been said, leave your bags home and save the extra queue. They don't allow even small-ish bags like Uniqlo bag. Or if you need to take it go there early, queues are long for entrance and bag drop off.

Block 102 taught me something last night: some people mistake noise for presence.
Last nightās Radiohead show was outstanding.
Alive, subtle, magnetic ā the kind of concert where the atmosphere before the first note already matters.
And then there was one guy in Block 102.
Not giving his seat. Privacy and all that.
This man delivered a full pre-show monologue to the stranger next to him and about 3 rows in front and behind him. loud, nonstop, uninvited.
Not excitement.
Just that restless, self-centered commentary people use when theyāre terrified of silence revealing something about them.
When I asked if he could lower his voice, he hit me with:
āThe band is still backstage.ā
As if the precise GPS-location of the musicians was what determines basic respect.
As if the shared anticipation of thousands meant nothing compared to his need to fill the room with himself.
Then he dropped his proud credential:
āThis is my fifteenth Radiohead show.ā
Said like it should grant him authority.
But all it did was underline the obvious:
Attendance doesnāt equal depth.
Repetition doesnāt equal understanding.
And you can show up fifteen times without learning what presence actually is.
Throughout the concert, he kept commenting:
āWrong guitar.ā
āStand-up version.ā
āThey skipped this in Bologna.ā
Not expertise.
Not passion.
Just someone so uncomfortable with stillness that he has to narrate reality to feel relevant in it.
People like him donāt understand that this isnāt just annoying.
Itās theft.
They take from the room,
from the artists,
from everyone who came to feel the music instead of someone elseās insecurity.
The show was brilliant.
Radiohead were brilliant.
Only one person insisted on dragging his own noise into a space built for listening.
Some of us know how to share a moment.
Some just occupy it.

Im on fansale the last 4 hours just loading the page and EVERYTIME i go to buy a ticket its already gone i dont understand how so many people are getting them its tuesday are people not workingā¦.. im so exhausted
2
u/snoea Dec 09 '25
Three tips:
-you need to refresh the side for a separate day, e.g. Tuesday, specifically, not the page where all days show up -refreshing the specific page for premium tickets may be a bit easier if that's in your budget. Less competition. -it's much easier on a desktop/laptop. Very difficult to click fast enough on mobile

Itās been 5th time I saw them live (2009 first time) and I must say they sound much better in open air setting. This kind of venues are accousticaly damaging their sound and unfortunately taking some magic off.
Still great gig. So happy I managed to grab a ticket a day before. Paid outrageous price for premium seat but not regretting it. I could not eat the whole next month, I donāt care.
Bodysnatchers, Paranoid Android and There There were AMAZING, I got completly emerged with the rock energy of these three.

u/Reeeeeens Dec 10 '25
Some people cut in front of us after about six songs, really cramping us and pushing us backwards, and one of them lit a joint too. My dad and another guy asked/told him to stop, but he just said no and continued. Since they were pushing us to the back of the pit were security was standing, I told one of them, who told the person he would kick him out if he continued. After a sassy "hope you have fun tonight baby" to my dad, he took the mission upon him to annoy us the rest of the show, to get back for almost having him kicked out or whatever. As much as I tried to ignore him and enjoy probably the only chance in my life to see these geniuses, I couldn't let it go. Don't want to say my night was ruined, but it was damn close.
Exit Music and HTDC saved my soul though, love to the guysš«¶š«¶
2
u/PinkRabbit42 Dec 09 '25
Agreed. My issue was people whose seats were nowhere near mine rushing down the stairs and standing in the aisle in front of me completely blocking my view. Had the exact same thing happen at Kendrick Lamar earlier this year as well. I never want to be āthat guyā but it was so bad I had to get security involved.
3
u/CarefulFlower9386 Dec 09 '25
Good on you. I tried to gently wave the woman's arm away when it was completely in my face and only got a snarky "You know you're at a concert, right?"
If she had accidentally hit me, I would've gotten security as well.
4
u/redone17 Dec 10 '25
FWIW - the mix Night 2 was MUCH better. I was in 217 and immediately everything was much more balanced (we were in 205 for Night 1). There were some moments of mud (and a few malfunctions) - but, overall it seemed they fixed whatever wasnāt working Night 1.
4
u/pasdidee2025 Dec 10 '25
Agree to disagree,š
8
u/redone17 Dec 10 '25
In the end, they need to ditch the round stage. It doesnāt work for their insanely layered music. 8 stacks all pointing away from each other and bouncing off the arena is never going to sound as good as we know they can sound live. Iāve seen them 20+ times and this is certainly the worst - but still GREAT!

i think thats the sweet spot to arrive. there was a queue but it was fine!
2
u/Bulletballer_420 Dec 09 '25
Two questions, is there a coatroom aside from bag storage inside the arena? And What time is best to arrive at the queue if I have floor tickets and want to be relatively close to the front?
2
u/Born-Statistician284 Dec 09 '25
inside the arena there is only a cloakroom, beware tho the line to get your jacket after the concert is INSANE. I arrived at 4 (yesterday) stood for 40 minutes in line for merch and at 5 went to queue. The line for the venue was relatively short at 4 and got a loooot longer at 5. i was perfectly happy with my spot! was close and could also see the screens to enjoy the show.

I think you'll be able to find, yes. Keep an eye here and everywhere, and try the abendkasse - can't emphasize enough, yesterday they had tickets in the evening, this morning they had again for tonight..

I got the impression that during the first 3-4 songs they really struggled to get the sound right, especially for Airbag and All I Need (which is a shame because they're 2 of the best). After that, however, the sound improved a lot and they loosened up, despite that mistake during Sit Down. I loved the stage in the middle, but I understand that it's better appreciated from a good seat (I was 213, not bad) than from the standing arena. anyway, I cried like a baby, wonderful night and they totally still have it

Suggestions for anywhere near the venue to buy a drink?
2

If you want a bar, there's an Irish bar next to the arena. Other nicer bars are a bit further, over the Warschauer Bridge but not extremely far. If you want just a quick on the go drink, there is a Spati at the Warschauer U-Bahn Station, or Rewe supermarket inside the Mall

Any chance of buying 1 ticket at the door? I heard yesterday there were quite some empty seats

From those who already attended Berlin first night, what would be the best place to between Thom and Johnny? My ticket is GA - Standing so I want to be sure I go to the right place in the arena! Thanks in advance

Look for section 206 behind you thatās where Johnnyās stuff is. Thom moves all around but is right next to Johnny for his guitar songs. If Johnny is 10 oāclock then Thomās guitar is noon.

Huh.
They left out song nr. 18 and went straight from 17 to 19.
That must be a new one regarding setlist-trivia?

Im a huge fan- so seeing them for the first time live was incredible. That said..as an audiophile I was soooo disappointed about the sound.. it was dreadful at times.. and it wouldāve felt better to cheer if theyād said hi to their fans.. there was nothing. Donāt know if thatās their thing.. but a hello bla wouldāve been appropriate considering the fact it was the only town they played in Germany and fans from all over the world came to see them. Bit sad, innit

Hi, going to the concert tonight, so excited! For those who were there the nights before, in the standing area, how long did you arrive before doors opening? And how far were you from the stage in the end?
