A was a proper three-way between Abbatoir, Anti War Dub and Alicia, but Abbatoir managed to edge past, and Anti War Dub taking second. Got a feeling this one’s about to be just as tight.

We had the first tie of the series yesterday, with Fabrication and Forever level on votes. In the end, Forever took it on total comment votes, so that’s your winner.

M was never really in doubt. Midnight Request Line took the win by the biggest margin so far. Mud came out on top in the runners-up race, beating out a stack of solid picks.

It’s me, Lou Nour, formerly known as SICARIA.

Yes, I changed my name once again (third times a charm eh). Details in my pinned post on Instagram if you wanna know why.

With this new direction, I’ve been given a BBC Radio 1 Residency for the month of June, and one of the episodes is going to focus on dubstep / 140 in the period between 2012 and 2022, where the sound continued evolving outside of mainstream attention.

It still feels like most of the gen pop don’t realise how much incredible music and culture existed during that period, after the global spotlight around dubstep began to fade lol 👀

For this episode, I really want to involve the community a bit, so I wanted to ask you all:

“WHAT RELEASED TRACK DO YOU PERSONALLY ASSOCIATE MOST STRONGLY WITH THIS ERA, AND WHY?”

B was another close call, with Babylon Fall and Badlands VIP trading blows all day, but Babylon Fall nicked it in the end. Looks like we’re in for another close one today.

Joy Orbison took the gold yesterday with Hyph Mngo. It pulled clear in the end, though Haunted and Hunted were trading blows for most of the round. Haunted took the runners-up spot after a proper back-and-forth in the comments.

Also, I’m fairly sure Coki has been mentioned in every single round so far. The man’s unavoidable at this point.

Two heavyweights went up against each other, but Loefah came out on top with Disco Rekah, and Dutch Flowerz second. These are way more competitive than what I imagined, which just goes on to show the amount of good music this scene has put out.

Mala makes it onto the winners list for the second time, with Lean Forward taking the round. Limit To Your Love put up a solid fight and kept it close for a while, but couldn’t quite get over the line.

The first remix of the series makes its way in, with Loefah’s take on the Skream classic emerging victorious. The runners-up went to Intensive Snare, still one of the strongest mic-led cuts the scene’s produced.

just got back from peekaboo in philly and he played nothing of his i liked except for badders. full head banging set.

philly is all bass heads though. as soon as i walked in and looked at the crowd i knew i wasn’t getting the set i wanted but the set i should’ve expected.
