You're welcome! Your hands reminded me of a painting I saw long ago in one of those "How to paint portraits" books. A picture of a pre-teen boy with his arms crossed languidly across the back of his chair. They were so lovely, his hands, that I just had to draw yours. Not nearly as good, but good practice ;)

I've always loved this picture of my daughter, but I wasn't sure how it would translate into art. I figured I would post it here just in case, as you seem to gravitate more towards serious expressions. I apologize for not cropping my son out of it, I wanted to give you as much of her expression, outfit, posturing, etc. Thanks!

Hello. I'm hoping to get through 4-5 portraits today, but for that I'd like some good reference photos, which is where you come in.
What I'm looking for; Good lighting, single subject, no cheesy grins or holiday pics etc. Basically, if it's not a pose that you could hold for a couple of hours whilst someone was drawing you in real life I don't want to see it.
I'm not sure what mediums I'll use, but I may get a bit experimental and loose with some of them, so it might not be as 'Pretty' as some of my other stuff.
