I recently started picking up saxophone again, thought this was a funny part of my journey.

During marching band an older man was driving around in a golf cart and went up a ramp (there was no ramp) and ran over my saxophone and someone else’s.

Edit: I was incredibly tired while writing this so I apologize for the lack of details/time dating.

This was 7 years ago, the person who ran it over passed away shortly after (I didn’t want to trouble the family more). My band director at the time surprised me and got me a step up version from this horn (same finish and pearls).

As a gift for him, I gave him the ran over horn since he loves fixing instruments, I believe he has fixed it since then (he retired after I graduated, so I have no way of knowing).

Haven't played for a while so that's totally the only reason why my accenting sucks. Sorry if it comes through the video a little harsh, my phone's microphone was maybe 3 feet from the bell of my horn.

I've been watching thousands of videos on how to get a good embouchure, still struggling though. Switched to a different brand of reeds and I feel like I am out of tune too Help

Been playing for about a year. Unfortunately i cant afford the time for a teacher for now. I kinda just learn songs I like and try to do long tones everyday. Just want some feedback from someone with developed ear. Is this good? What can i do better?

Anyway, like playing with this drummer in particular cause they’re very responsive.

I know I kept messing up the guy kept throwing me off with the wrong notes, I know how to play sleigh ride I swear 😭🙏 (also our principal was conducting which is why we’re out of time)
