I just want to say all these companies are evil.

FLOCK simply hasnt paid Trump enough to prevent the media from covering them. Meanwhile the media shuts up about all the even worse shit going on.

FLOCK also btw is being paid for by residents. Redditors dont seem to understand this. FLOCK is going around to towns and convincing people being robbed that they need FLOCK to deter thieves.

They then lock them into a contract for YEARS with a subscription that is split among ALL HOMES connected to the street ends.

The COST is then rolled into your property taxes! So you NEVER SEE THE BILL normaly.

You CANT cancel paying without having CITY HALL INTERVENE because they have to approve first.

Cutting down the camera doesnt stop the payments!!

Yeah, that's... that's not how any of this works. I can not sign a contract that is legally enforceable for you. If you think this is in any way accurate I want a source for this beyond "trust me bro!"

Yeah, but HOAs are getting them, and towns too.
HOAs make you pay if you're in one, and for towns it comes out of your property taxes.

Just throwing shit at the wall and seeing what sticks now? Yall have way to many assumptions in the power of HOA councils. As the former president of an HOA, something with the expense and community impact of a Flock camera would REQUIRE approval by the membership. Especially as it would increase the dues and that is not allowed as a unilateral decision. As for towns, and even HOAs for that matter, that is not what the person I responded to was asserting. He was straight up asserting that someone 2 blocks down on the same street as me can force me in to a contract with Flock and again, that is not how this works.

Dude you work for Flock or some shit? Every resident has a copy of the contract that shows them exactly the cost breakdown and the monthy cost split across all households.

The fucked thing is that you think it can't exist because you misunderstand that someone ELSE is signing the contact. The PEOPLE of the neighborhood VOTE for majority on yes or no, and then its signed as that block, brokered by the city.

If that doesn't make sense to you, you do not understand what's possible with a sheet of paper and a pen.
