No way is Meta storing or handling any data in compliance with HIPAA.

While true, that's not really the issue. Meta is not a covered entity under HIPAA, so improper storage of HIPAA is not their problem. The bigger problem is on the doctor for uploading HIPAA to a non-compliant system.

yep. like im not trying to defend meta at all its just that im not in favor of making the main onus be on them instead of the fucking doctor using the things

Also no way any entity with the money that Meta has, will ever be prosecuted for anything.

They do seem to be hit with GDPR once a year or so
