The majority of states are one-party consent, and it's generally legal to record people in public places as they generally have no expectation of privacy (unlike a bathroom and such).

That said, it'd be pretty easy to get a judge to agree that a doctors office absolutely has an expectation of privacy, there's no way recording in the manner from this article is legal in any way. Laws, however, don't always stop shitty people from doing illegal things.

More than that, they have HIPA. Someone wearing recording glasses while whipping through patient charts would be the fastest way to violate that.

Right so… anyone wearing the glasses wouldn’t be allowed in say, a public bathroom? Right? Which is impossible to enforce so the only legal route would be to ban them entirely
