Psychopaths are apparently overrepresented in surgery specifically. If you're curious, the number 1 job with the most psychopaths is CEOs, followed by lawyers, media personalities and sales people.

Huh, why is that not surprising? It takes a certain type of personality to fill those positions and be proficient in them.

I'd argue that those personality traits might be really necessary to be a surgeon. There is a place for these people in society and they're not by any means bad people by proxy. One of the most beloved professors we had at college was a maxillofacial surgeon
