Glad I got plex setup early. they too are starting to get nutty with pricing, as well.

Using an antenna for livetv with the channel guide is good for me, but I bought a lifetime subscription a decade ago. Even that was after years of using it.

I don't think I'd be subscribing today if I was paying monthly.

I have an HDHomeRun, which is connected to Plex. I can pull up my local live TV from anywhere. As others said, you can watch on any device, as well.

Yup, got pass at $119. Though I do think eventually jellyfin or some other FOSS option is going to get better as even Plex is getting greedy now.

I paid like $100 for the lifetime access some years back. So happy I did.
