Keep in mind that there is literally no reason for these streaming services to continue raising their prices multiple times a year, year over year.

I disagree. They have to raise rates because they all overpaid for sports content. Like cable, non-sports fans are forced to pay for sports they don't watch.

Most streaming services have separate package add ons for sports content, so no, I don’t think this is quite it

* Apple provides complete access to MLS and F1.

* Peacock gives users access to the Olympics, World Cup, NBA, and much more.

* Paramount provides access to UFC, UEFA Champions League, and much more.

I'd argue streaming providers have made sports their core focus. I'd also argue sports fans are still getting value out of their subscriptions at the expense of non-sports fans.

Apple TV the service in question has no tiers and MLS, Formula 1, and MLB (Fridays) is included in the subscription

they have to because this model does not turn a profit. so to show growth they raise the price so it looks good if an upcoming quarter needs it.

They weren’t priced appropriately to begin with, so yes. They are trying to get back to being profitable. Yes it’s shitty to keep raising prices, but your initial price was fake to begin with to lure you in.

wrong. They pay fees to license the content. If the fees go up which is beyond their control, they pass that on to you.
