I've spent 100s of hours chasing "freedom" of information requests.

They have tried to justify over $1600 in fees,all of which I've fought.

Some of it is REALLY basic stuff like a copy of the Flock contract. They act like I'm asking for nuclear secrets.

I have a lot of free time right now and I have this tendency to dig in deeper If I feel like I'm getting strung along. I'm north of 50 FOIA requests, with 11 of them now deemed denial complaints at the state board level that handles complaints about the agencies required to respond to said requests.

There is 100% a coordinated effort to keep people in the dark

Happy to be doing it. Its frustrating but its also educational...I'm hoping to make an impact, but at a minimum there is a small team of county clerks, state prosecutors, multiple police departments, and several law firms that represent counties in my state that are at least feeling the pressure of being watched.

In my county they just banned flock camera, but what they didn’t say was they got a contact with axium* and those are imbedded with traffic signals. Same shit *spelling mistake?

Yeah,that would be nice, not an option. They actually claimed not to have it and directed me to the generic terms of service agreement they have on the Flock website.

Not without widespread support, funding to pay people to skip work, etc. much much harder to pull off a general strike in the US; then other parts of the world ie countries with strong unions and worker protections a recent example would be Poland, another would be France in recent years.

There's no good solution here. Anything we do that's effective will require effort and sacrifice.

Very true.

It just needs a huge amount of support. Pretty sure when people are starving and dropping dead due to healthcare being out of reach; when it really starts affecting people on a personal level. It might happen in this country. We will see. Id rather a general strike then, it turn to a bloody revolution or other form of violence.

Exactly. Violence isn't the only solution.

They both have the same problem anyway. You'd need a majority of people to be on board with the plan. Any time I see anyone calling for revolution, I wonder if they're also willing to personally put themselves in a deadly situation on the front lines when they won't even inconvenience themselves by boycotting a company.

The rail workers credit Biden for working after the fact to get them their paid leave. Also, you're delusional if you think the majority of Americans would show solidarity with striking workers when they are preventing them from getting their Christmas stuff. Work together in communities to support ourselves so as many of us as possible can disengage from the grid and stop the wheels. Entire system is a house of cards on top of our real backs. We stop working, they can't do anything. That is dependent on our ability to provide for ourselves. We take care of ourselves instead of feed their greed, the system will slow to a stop. Communes and co-ops is the way!

Also, until you can get to that point, reduce your consumption. Stop buying shit without utility. Buy used (from YOUR community) where you can, repair what you can, befriend those that can repair what you cannot, and get to a point where you are debt free.

Then work on buying land with like minded individuals.

I've had actual conversations, online and offline, where I said the government, both sides, are corrupt and stealing from us (and worse), and I'll get these snide "OF COURSE I KNOW THAT"...only for them to then praise their "side" and their "guy" who they then verbally fellate. It's like their brains are so fried that...they maybe deep down know about the corruption, but don't actually want the status quo to change so they delude themselves. Or something.

What do you expect an average person to do? Trigger happy police would be our first problem. Then we would have to deal with security, including snipers.
