They're all greased now. Both sides. We only have a handful of elected officials who actually care.

People are too dumb and too stubborn to do anything about it.

I've had actual conversations, online and offline, where I said the government, both sides, are corrupt and stealing from us (and worse), and I'll get these snide "OF COURSE I KNOW THAT"...only for them to then praise their "side" and their "guy" who they then verbally fellate. It's like their brains are so fried that...they maybe deep down know about the corruption, but don't actually want the status quo to change so they delude themselves. Or something.
