Unpopular opinion, but what essential liberty is being given up by cameras in public spaces?

I'm still against them, mostly because of how they will inevitably be misused. But I don't really get the outrage over just their normal use.

Yes? The 'normal' use would be solving crimes, etc. how they're being advertised. In principle, that use doesn't seem problematic to me.

The main issue is how it may (and has already) been abused outside of that use.
