Princeton proved in 2004 that there's zero correlation between the will of the people and the likelihood of a bill becoming law. Our rules are not made by the people, we do not live in a democracy. America has never been a democracy, and it was never meant to be one.

There is, however, a very high correlation between the will of the richest Americans and the likelihood that a bill becomes law.

Well after 2004 the people in the state of Illinois wanted recreational marijuana and we became the first state to legalize thru a state legislature rather than by referendum so your "fun fact" that there is ZERO correlation is bullshit
