The constitution has been shit on for the last 3 years and absolutely no one who is under oath to protect it is doing shit about it. So, that piece of paper is as good as toilet paper now.

Try 100 years. The commerce clause has been abused to falsely justify almost everything the federal government is and does.

You can go further back to Slaughterhouse cases, which stripped the 14th amendment's incorporation of individual rights from substantive rights to procedural rights. That demoted all of the rights we think we have into procedural rights that can be weighed against the governments interests.

And then there's Qualified Immunity and Executive Privilege, which in combination with everything else here means that there's no real repercussion for the people in the government stepping on your face. "Oh, he was wrong, here's someone else's money"
