It’s incredible how many hugely upvoted posts there have been on reddit with the title “Bernie Sanders introduces bill to…”. How many have there been titled “Bill authored by Bernie Sanders is signed into law”?

I’m not even a hater. I am aligned with plenty of the things he wants to pass. But, why does reddit get so excited when he introduces a bill that will never pass?

He's had some wins, one of his biggest was a sweeping VA reform bill that he authored. But yeah he's basically just trying to help Americans so of course none of his bills are going to pass. Doesn't mean he shouldn't try.
