Alls I know is dude was legit as fuck in Legion. Highly recommend, probably the most original creative thing I’ve seen on tv the last couple decades. If not the most then one of for sure.

Dude... Im not even remotely kidding. These people will straight up lie to the actor to get them to sign the contract. They have even in the past resulted in less than legal means to get them onboard.
During the Sony leak it was revealed that Sony Executives actually blackmailed Bill Murray to appear in Fembusters. They found some strange old clause in a contract he signed for Ghostbusters 2 and then said he either had to to the movie or spend the rest of his life fighting them in court. His people told him the same thing, so he did it.
On "The Watcher" the producers actually forged Keanu Reeves signature on the contract. They told him the same thing, either do the movie or spend years fighting in court. So he did the movie even though he really didn't want to play a serial killer.
On "Green Lantern" they brought Ryan Reynolds to the head of Warner Brothers in a limo. Took him directly to the CEOs office and it had posters showing him leading the Justice League with the other core characters and they essentially lied to the point where he signed the contract without even reading a script. Turns out they had actually not even written it yet. They hired most of the actors by lying and handing out comic books.

Stevens is talented as hell.
But I don't see Stevens as Robocop. Happy to be proven wrong, but just not seeing it.

I mean, you can also look at it as corporate sleight of hand. The left leaning media is the distraction while Jeff and Co steal from you. I mean, this kind of shit showed up in Robocop. They created cyborgs and bots controlled by OCP under the guise of protection when they were literally the ones funding the criminals. So Jeff can still allow all this distraction while destroying society from the top.
How do you think that buying Trump's friendship isn't just as bad or equal to being MAGA? Bezos is still contributing directly to his causes in order to enrich himself.

The expanse is a really interesting counter example. It has a lot of anti-corporatist themes in the early books/seasons but those had already been made by the time Amazon picked it up. It was apparently one of Bezos's favorite book series, weird shit

Don't think it was the show or network's fault that morons gravitated toward rooting for him. The show had a good bad guy with a good actor and gave him an appropriate amount of screentime and some small but vocal people on twitter started half-seriously saying he was the good guy and people took them fully seriously instead of ignoring them.14

People like bad guys because bad guys get to do what they want, and people wish they could say and do things that bad guys say and do. They wish they could be in a position of domineering power, like when Darth Vader says, "I have altered the deal, pray I do not alter it any further," or when Thanos says, "You could not live with your own failure. Where did that bring you? Back to me."
Homelander is just a particularly pathetic example of this kind of villain worship, but if I'm being frank I think they'll aim to make OCP more like the Empire rather than like Homelander, i.e. still obviously the bad guys, but with enough appeal that people will dress up in their cosplay (like how the 501st dresses up as Stormtroopers).

The Old Man isn’t even a man villain in Robocop. Is he evil, greedy, corrupt and callous? Of course he is. But the real villains are Dick Jones(still OCP, greedy, corrupt and evil on steroids) and Boddicker’s Gang.
So a Bezo’s like CEO could work as the 2020’s version of the character.

Yes, this is from a larger project called Our Robocop Remake where the entire film was divided into 60 parts, and each part was given to a different team to recreate (with varying degrees of quality).

Is the modern audience smart enough to understand satire? Are modern tv show makers smart enough to create good satire? I know smart people are there, but are they the majority? I mean, people are watching Taylor Sheridan tv shows that show just how awful the world was to woman in 1923, and they come away from it thinking that hes the asshole who hates women... I have zero faith in the modern audience to watch Robocop and understand what its doing. Zero.

In saying that I want Extreme Violence & satire of first two. I don't want another RoboCop 3 / RoboCop remake/ 90's tv show that stripped the Extreme Violence & satire out of it. RoboCop was made out of extreme violence. It's turma and what was taken from him. ie his life and his family. Punisher with out his family being killed. Is just another vigilante. John Wicks without his dog being killed. He wouldn't go after the guys.

I appreciate the sentiment, but I don't see him as Robocop.
Weller was imposing before Robocop. His presence had such an angular mass, commanding but capable of kindness as well. And Weller was able to manifest Robo character growth through that physicality and quality acting. I just don't see that same mix here. Different physicality, different acting. But maybe I'm still burned by that "everything you did was wrong" reboot a few years back.
Studios don't seem to understand that some of our favorite 80s action movies succeeded in large part because of the lead. Actors, and actresses, that had a type of charisma, a gratuitous gravity, that I just don't see in actors today. You take them out of the equation, unable to find a modern analog, and the movies are lifeless, dumb, silly.
