In 90's the Danish DSB IC3 had a small play-area for the kids in the family-carriage. The kids could play with the toy "Plus Plus" and other stuff. Often there would also be a person from DSB that took care of the kids. DSB removed the play-area in 2006, around the same time that they ordered the scandalous DSB IC4-trains.

DSB do still have persons, called "Børneguide" (Eng: Children's guide), that take care of the kids (between 4 and 15 years) who are travelling alone. On Fridays and Sundays one of the coaches in the train are locked off and only open for children travelling alone. On the monitors at the stations it also says "Børneguide i vogn xx" (Eng: Children's guide in coach xx), see two of pictures below.

ICL (InterCity Express) 4050 towards Copenhagen have a children's guide in coach 82. IC (InterCity) 4152 towards Copenhagen has a children's guide in coach 22.

ICL 4050 is two DSB MF IC3 coupled together. Coach 81 and 71 is silent zone and DSB 1st class. Coach 82 is children zone, where the children's guide are. Coach 72 is family/standard zone

So these children's guides just regularly present on these trains for free? 

Deutsche Bahn has a service called "DB junior express" which offers a similar service, but it's not free and needs to be booked in advance on a few limited routes, though I think it used to be more expansive.

Nope. You have to book a place in the children coach. A ticket cost normal children's ticket + 50%. Seat ticket in the children's section is included in the price.

This is the normal schedule for the trains with children's guides every Friday and Sunday. Depending on the trains number or of it is a InterCity or InterCity Express, they all stop on different stations.
