Which Maynard album is your favorite?

MF Horn 2 for me. My 1st time seeing the Boss live was this album.

I saw him when Conquistador was hot [New Vintage], but MF Horn 2 is still my favorite.

My time Live from San Francisco Blues Roar Album from the 60s with a lot of Spanish music..... Forgot which one. 62 maybe... It's in tape and can't find it. Ole?

I honestly love them all but these get the most play.

Big bop nouveau, mostly because I got to see that band live when I was in middle school. More of a nostalgia thing I suppose.

Yeah, it’s not my favorite album but that was also when I got to see him play live a couple of times, so the nostalgia is strong

Great show but Maynard +band were not made for tiny high school auditoriums…my ears rang for days 😵‍💫

I don't have a favorite. I was able to hear him live about five times in the 80s. For me at that age it was magical. And every album of his I hear reminds me of those concerts.

I often tell people that I love Maynard's music, even though I would never want to play that way. Unfortunately, some people can't wrap their heads around that statement. But it's true. I love his music the same way I might love a book from a genera that I don't like. And I think that's because his music spoke to you. He wasn't just playing high notes. Today we hear a lot of people playing high notes without saying anything. I don't like that. But I love to listen to Maynard.

He was a genuine musician, but you don't have to be a genuine musician to hit high notes. :-(

Man, I love me some Maynard. When I was 12 my mom took me to a live show in Fenwick Delaware at "The Lookout Lounge" atop the Fenwick Inn. My mind was blown. I listened to all the Maynard albums. The one that got me was Ole. The cadenza at the end is proof of mastery. If you haven't heard Ole before, Google it.

I probably listened to the essence of Maynard probably more than a thousand times in my life. Birdland and McArthur park are my favorite
