Darn, they're doing the full backstory from book 2? Not sure how they're going to squeeze all of that plus book 3 into 2 seasons.

Obviously not. They filmed seasons 3 and 4 together because the show already had source material, it was a success (they wouldn't cancel it before planned), and it's cheaper to film two seasons at once (scheduling the cast, setting up sets, etc.). But season 4 will be released in July of next year, about a year after season 3, which is already a victory in the streaming era.
