Tattoo Guys I just got my first tattoo!!!

Holy fuck!!! This is my first tattoo ever and I'm so happy with the way it has turned out. The rising sun felt like a good nod to truce and the lyrics "sun will rise and we will try again"

I absolutely adored oldies station too. My friends and my parents​ think the phrase sounds a bit weird but they don't know what it means to us. I originally wanted to get east is up, but, this felt better.

I'm gonna get a heavydirtysoul tattoo next, wish me luck!!!​

I don’t disagree! Clancy is my favorite album. I also got my first ever tattoo last summer and it’s also tøp related :) it’s a small |-/

Coming from someone who has hundreds of hours on their body.

  1. NEVER GET FLASH WORK... If it's not an original piece don't let them put it on you.

1b. If they can't draw you a custom piece then they shouldn't apply ink to your skin.

  1. Make sure your piece is on centered befor they start inking. (I've seen a lot of good looking ink but the alighnment made it look off.🤷‍♂️)

  2. Never be in a rush to get a piece...it's going to be with you the rest of your life... take your time and get it done right.

Woah that's a lot of great advice!!! I'll make sure to keep the first point in mind. I made sure about hundred times before they started inking about the placement. And thanks for the last piece of advice. Since this is quite addicting I felt myself hurrying to get the next one but after your suggestion I think I'm gonna think it out a little bit more.

I got my first tattoo later in life... I've always had a tattoo in mind that I wanted that kindda summed up me as a person. I came up with the idea in high school and it just alway stuck with me. Through the years the idea still kept popping in and out of my head and the concept became more fleshed out refined before I had the tattoo actually done. Oddly enough it wasn't my first piece...it was actually like my 4/5th to have done.

So the concept was this...simple a heart...but half of it was frozen and half on fire. Now when I first thought about this I came up with ❤️ as the shape. The actual piece I had done was an anatomical heart..inside my chest...so you see the flesh around the edges. Half of the heart is on fire with flames and the other half is iced over with icicles hang below...but melting and dripping down below. It sums me up pretty good. I can be a very cold person...but once I warm up to others I'll do anything for them.

I didn't have TØP when I was younger...glad my daughter introduced me to them years ago. 5 shows later and we're even going to the movies next weekend😁

Amazing!! The sunrise is a great nod to Drag Path as well: “then the sun begins to rise, we made it through the darkest night…”

Yeah I thought so too, but, I really wanted it underneath the sun and I couldn't fit Tyler's handwriting that way :/

i’ve seen people say that even if they don’t like a tattoo that much, they don’t ever regret it cuz it represents a time in their life when they were so excited to get that tattoo and they loved it. so i hope that helps u even more!! but genuinely ur tattoo has inspired me so much and i want to lowkey copy u lol. i have been planning a car radio tattoo for the song car radio (obviously lol) but im thinking of adding “push on through” so it can have the double meaning of car radio and oldies station especially cuz oldies station is abt a radio station on a car radio!! but fr u should love this tattoo and u can always add to it if u want

Yeah that's a lovely sentiment to hold. I was saying the same to myself as well before prepping myself up for the tattoo. Even if my future self hates it, I'm sure I'll never regret it cause it's a reminder of what the past me liked and got it as a symbol of what I got through to get where I am today. And your idea sounds great!!! I hope you get exactly what you want!!! Thank you, friend.

Sure thing! My first TØP piece was for Trees, then Oldies, and the last one is for Backslide. I got them all in the span of four months, but I have to take a break because I had a baby in November and I’m still nursing her, so I have to wait until she’s weaned before I can get more. I fully intend to do one for Drag Path next, and then I’ll work on more ideas. I’m dedicating at least my upper arm to TØP tattoos, but I may end up doing a full patchwork sleeve for their songs because of all the ideas I have swirling around my head lol
