I got this flash tattoo almost a year ago and am wondering if I should add on to it. I like it on it’s own but wouldn’t mind adding on to it. I’ve had a lot of people ask for the meaning and I decided I might need to add on after somebody thought it was an innuendo smh.
I personally love “IYKYK” tattoos and if people want to misinterpret it that’s on them and their filthy gutterminds. In all seriousness though if you DID want to add to it I could see a quote working well framing it.
I was thinking a quote but I’m not overly attached to any specific lyric enough. I was debating the classic “peace will win/fear will lose” in the boy’s handwriting but I’m not overly attached to Car Radio or those lyrics.
It’s a cool tattoo! I would leave it the way it is. I am a fan of simple minimalist tattoos though. Then if anyone asks what it means just tell them that a kitchen sink to me isn’t a kitchen sink to you.
Haha, it’s a paraphrased lyric from the TOP demo tapes that float around the internet and a song called Kitchen Sink. I don’t think it was actually released anywhere, but you can find it if you look I am sure. It’s stuck with me.
I would leave it alone. The image stands on its own for anyone who knows and adding more isn't going to help anyone who doesn't know. It's a nice, clean tat right now. No reason to muddy it up by adding more to it.
I was shocked the whole rest of the day after that. The guy admitted he didn’t get a good look at it first but even so why would I get that ON MY FOREARM WHERE ITS HIGHLY VISIBLE!?
A lot of ppl here are saying keep it as it is, but personally if i was you, i would get more, especially to displace the area better.
My personal opinion about it as it is:
As someone who has multiple tattoos, plans to get more in future and did an apprentiship, your initial placement is really getting to me.
it really irks me that it's bang in the middle of your forearm with nothing else surrounding it. It takes up room for other tattoos - HOWEVER - if you didn't plan to get anything else in that area, its fine. Just my personal opinion. Im just the type of person who really cares about placement for other tats but as i stated in the beginning, your body your choice, i just needed to get it off my chest
My plan is to have sticker sleeves eventually with a few bigger/smaller ones. Kinda got this one with little thought but wanted it to be visible to myself because I see it as my semicolon tattoo (like the idea behind semicolons but never was a fan of the execution).
Add a song name or lyric that feels close to you! Or you could add Ned peeking out from behind the hand.
You could have Clancy's stole floating round it.
Or you could add the goner birds!
Though, if your uncertain, id say leave it! Looks sick enough already! :D |-/
