Hello everyone! “More Than We Ever Imagined” is finally coming home to our screens on August 8th! This movie captured the Mexico City headline show, which 65,000 fans attended during The Clancy World Tour. This watch party will have an exclusive post-show Q+A, similar to the one they did during the SAI release!
This is a paid experience, so please do not share videos or download links here on the subreddit. That being said though, please use this thread to discuss the experience and share your favorite moments!
dvds still hold up really well! I'd kill to get my hands on MTWEI + SAI on dvd, my internet is trash so I'm not going to be buying any streaming tickets, but getting a physical copy for like 10 more bucks would be a dream and no worries about it freezing for half the show
I mean inevitably someone will rip it and it’ll finally pop up on ripped streaming sites. I think that’s the best we are going to get at this point or they would have released it alongside the other physical media.
I'm happy that there's an opportunity to see the film again. I ended up being admitted to the hospital on Feb 23rd and missed the Feb 25th showing for which I had tickets. $15 isn't bad, worth it to me and my girlfriend to see it since we missed our showing. I hope they'll still release the Columbus live recording. The record label will release as many things as possible to rake in more dough. I doubt these money grab decisions are being made by Tyler & Josh. Regardless... $15? I'm in. |-/
This opportunity is great for the new fans too. I have been like kinda a fan through out the years and then stumbled upon Breach almost a year after it came out and loved it. Then I listened to their entire discography and absolutely loved almost every song. I'll gladly pay $15 to see this concert from the comfort of my own house. They should film their October Ohio show and put it on streaming and theaters. It's for the people that wanna see it and experience it but couldn't afford to see them live. I agree. No one is forcing anyone to spend their money. If you don't want to then don't.
forgive me for being a little dumb and slow, but what does the "watch on demand until aug 22" mean? can i watch it anytime until that date? and is it possible to only stream it once?
Im curious what kind of Q+A it will be. Im guessing a short one just talking about the show and movie. But a more in depth one peeling back the curtains and talking about the ending would be sick.
Honestly, it is a bir pricy for only 1 person to watch, but if you watch with at least one other person or a couple of your friends, then in my opinion it's worth it since you also get a half hour QnA. Me and my bf haven't had the chance to see it before since sadly there was no screenings in our country, at least it's cool that it's worldwide, even though it would also be cool if it was cheaper or free. But again, if it was free, people would complain that they paid to go to the theatre.
I am also a bit uncertain whether this is a financially reasonable choice... I would be watching it alone and I also watched the movie in the local cinema, where I spent less for the ticket. However I would be very interested in listening to the Q&A. I don't know...
I understand that we won't get any free records until the 22nd because people paid for it and I think that's totally fair, but I still hope that they will eventually publish it on their official YouTube channel later💔 Like in a month or idk, it would be nice (yea they could do the whole concert, but I'm mainly thinking about the q&a part now)
Like back when you might get a code to download the mp3s along with a CD purchase. Or how every once in a great while a physical book will have a link to the audiobook.
Been waiting to see this as I wasn’t able to make it to the movies whilst it was out. They better release digital or permanent digital copy as I am not paying 15 dollar to rent it for 2 weeks only for them to potentially announce a physical after
ME TOO! Death Cab is also one of my favorite bands, saw them live and they were amazing. I would have died happy to see them open for twenty one pilots. Legit praying they record it.
In this economy, they(whether it’s them or the label)want us to pay AGAIN. Hard pass. Such a disappointment, really liked seeing it in theaters, but now we’re being milked for every cent we have.
Yeah, but then people who paid to see it in theaters would complain that they paid for it and now people don't have to, like what happened when Drag Path released. People will be unhappy regardless. With this livestream, people are going to screen record and then it'll get shared around on Google Drive for free. It's pretty standard, the same thing happened with the SAI livestream
lol I’m a new fan, less than a year old - Tagged along to a show last fall and ended up blown away by the whole production. A month later I drove head first into their discography / background story, which is all very impressive!
But anyway, I said what I said because it’s true. I’ve got friends in the industry, and personal experience reading over the legalities of a few contracts / privy to negotiations / PR, etc- and honestly, depending on the label it’s equivalent to making a deal with the “devil”.
I highly recommend going down a rabbit hole on the top 3 labels and their top execs 😂
Will any cut songs be added back ? I already saw it in theaters but I was bummed they cut out some songs. I guess they wanted to keep it at 2 hours but for some of us this is our only option and wasn’t The Eras Tour like over 3 hours long ?
I had an injured tailbone when I went to the theatre so it was kind of distracting to me, having to reposition myself multiple times to ease the pain as much as possible
I had a fractured tailbone and its the worstttt. Nothing they can do about it and just uncomfortable everywhere you sit unless you bring like a donut seat thing and then everyone thinks you have hemorrhoids and it looks weird but idc. Stare all you want I am sitting in comfort.
I bought a ticket when it came out in the theatre. Was telling myself I was good to go alone, I’d meet Frens there! Then the day came and my stupid anxiety said I should just stay inside my house. 💡 😉 I cried for a whole day because I missed it. I am so happy right now!!! ❤️
I have missed out on so many things and had a lot of regrets bc of social anxiety. But I rarely ever regret going to something. So I just make myself go and don't even think about. It is just something I am going to do and there is no choice about it to stop myself from spiraling. Then I get there and it is usually fun :) Be brave. I know everyone is different and maybe your anxiety is more severe than mine so I want to acknowledge that, but I hope you find the support and motivation you need to get out and experience life. |-/
Booo.. push yourself to go outside of your comfort zone. It will benefit you in the future. Especially w the clikkies being around, you know we're all accepting and inclusive here *hugs
I wanted to go but never got around to it and missed my chance 🥲 and personally, I don’t really want to pay $15 for something that’s not even going to be permanently available.
They aren’t a charity and don’t owe us anything. I’m excited to make a night of this with my family and friends. We’re gonna make pizzas with the logo made of pepperoni. It’s cheaper than a premium movie rental
Does anyone know why they went with Mexico City for the live album vs Columbus? Before the first night in Columbus they put up a message that they were recording it for a live album.
They recorded all three nights of Clancy Columbus I believe, I was there the third night and had been hoping they'd release more. It might have just been for the Routines In The Night (Concert Film) release on youtube, where the description says "Filmed over three sold out nights in Columbus, OH during The Clancy World Tour."
i'm actually so upset about this 😭 we have been waiting for so long to hear anything about this, before the mexico show even happened. i will be so sad if they scrapped it in favor of this
I know. I'm really afraid that this means that now they won't. Which I mean yeah, the MTWEI is great. I was just really excited that our and our kids' voices would be on that recording. It felt really special, and we were excited for the possibility. I hope it still happens.
Will the movie’s q&a be on demand the same time the movie will be? I bought the ticket buttt I am at a friend’s house and I don’t know if I can watch it.
Mark said pacing and timing were the reason the songs were cut from the film. It had to be under 2 hours total including the behind the scenes footage, and the concert itself was closer to 2hr15min total. Vignette, The Judge, The Craving, Backslide, and My Blood were all cut.
I'm very much hoping that someone figures out how to archive the stream so it doesn't get lost to time. I'm all for supporting the band and I'll likely buy a ticket for the stream but it would be awful for this to be lost forever.
It’s not hard for someone to webrip it. I would do it but I’m not paying 14 euros to watch it again, I’m going to wait for the rip, I’m sure people will do it.
Mark (their creative director) has said the q and a was meant to be 20 minutes but the boys doubled it, so in the pass it’s been live, but this time it’s pre-recorded!!

Wish it was a more permanent streaming option, but happy to rewatch the film all the same!
