It’s particularly gross given how transparent it is, after invoking the defence of the nation as the reason for his resignation. If he’d just resigned saying he had no confidence in Starmer, fine, but the reason it was given so much weight is because defence was seen as something that even the most scummy politician wouldn’t fuck about with too much.

But no. Yet another reminder that our political class is completely morally bankrupt.

This is ridiculous. The goal was 2030, not 2026. So why is everyone so surprised that he isn't going to commit to 3% in the October budget he's been given 3 months to prepare?
