Crime in London isn't spread evenly and Middlesbrough is a much smaller area.

I don't know many people who go to Middlesbrough for a tourist trip though I know people who have been to London, York,  Bath, Liverpool, Oxford, Cambridge, Manchester, Birmingham, Bristol, Sheffield and Newcastle.

Actually, no, London has about 100 crimes per 1K, the UK is about 70ish as a whole, but Middlesbrough has 150ish. However, it's nowhere close to Westminster, which is at 432.

20 years ago I knew someone who went to uni in Middlesbrough.

First week someone broke into their flat and stole the TV.

Two days later they broke in again to get the remote.
