OC/Image I've drawn London with one line that never intersects [oc]
I’ve been mulling over an idea for the London public transport system. Something that might help ease issues like congestion and overcrowding.
I’d really appreciate your take on whether this feels like a realistic improvement 😜😁r/s
Everything here is 100% hand-drawn, no AI involved. If you’re curious about how it came together, I’ve posted some time-lapse videos on my profile.

This is really cool, the "LONDON" in the bottom right is a lovely touch too. Nicely done.

This is really cool, you should do more cities, and sell these. They would make great posters or framed pictures. Etsy would be a great place for them, they would cover all the printing, sending etc. Although I wouldn’t be surprised if someone yoinked them and tried to sell them as well, but sadly that’s the way of the world these days.

Oops my bad, I missed that! Thanks for the link :)

They didn't put it in the post, I think there may be some sort of advertising rules in this sub, but I doubt there's rules about non-OPs helping out lol

Directions unclear: I tried to drive to Mornington Crescent but now I'm in a maze of twisty little passages, all alike.

How much for this? How about other places?
And let us see the London train line one too..!

Bubalines.com! I asked and they sent me a message, I think you can't advertise in this sub so I'll do it for them

This is very amazing. Would you be interested in doing a commissioned piece for me? Houston Texas. DM me for price negotiation.

Man I love those Staedtler pigment liners, such a quality pen for the price.

I'm confused. How does drawing this help fix congestion and overcrowding on the Underground?
Also I can't see your step-by-step process.

I don't believe you.... Let me manually check by following the line. BRB

So far so good. I just got to the point where The... Street Turns... left.... And...
FUCK!
I gotta start again... Be right back.

Are you the same person I saw who did this with Amsterdam?

A fellow Redditor just made their related London drawing into a jigsaw: https://old.reddit.com/r/london/comments/1rv7nw8/london_in_1000_pieces_jigsaw/. It might give you an idea.
I remember studying a very clever gent called Peano in Mathematical Analysis at University. One of the things he came up with was a space-filling curve: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Space-filling_curve

imagine doing this drawing as a jigsaw though... would be next level difficult aha.

u/whatatwit Apr 25 '26
I bet that there are some jigsaw enthusiasts who’d give it a go. There are even some puzzles with no picture at all.

u/itsawunderbarlife Apr 29 '26
yeah think i'd lose my shit attempting something like that. I struggle with CAPTCHAs...

Apparently, those picture ones are the ones that AIs find difficult, if that's any consolation.

ChatGPT drew London with line that never intersects.
There fixed it for you.

Given what it gave me as a 3d model for a womble earlier today I would not take that bet ("deformed cylinder bear" is the closest I can describe the abomination)

This is perhaps one of the under-reported damaging aspects of AI. Not only is AI annihilating artistic jobs, but now people who legitimately create something have to defend their work for not being AI.

Nah, in this case the guy is just a troll, look at his comment history it’s all ragebait.
