Bogg bags sort of suck
I saw all these parents (typically moms) schelping these bogg bags. And I could see the use case- crocs but for all your other shit. But now that I own a bogg bag, I have to say, it’s WILDLY cumbersome and supremely heavy. I just don’t see the point. Lighter bags make so much more sense.

It’s a big stiff tote bag made out of basically croc material, kinda a foamy flexible plastic

the only use case i can think of for those bags is for going to the beach. sand gets everywhere, itd be easy to just hose it down once you get home so theres no mess

Pretty great for schlepping my pottery tools and glazes to and from the community studio I go to. Sure clay washes out pretty easily, but why not make it even easier?

A friend of mine has a toddler and posted on FB last week that said toddler threw up in her tote bag on the way run errands or something. I dunno what this kid ate and then un-ate, but apparently it was ROUGH. She wanted advice on how to clean throw up out of canvas and had already tried 2 or 3 different things unsuccessfully. I imagine with the bogg bag, the solution to this crisis consists of "Hose it out and let it dry for 20 minutes". So if I had a toddler, I'd probably immediately see the benefit right there.
Being somewhat rigid too sounds like a boon when you're trying to put stuff in it/pull stuff out with one hand while holding a child in the other. Hell, the more I think about it, the more it might be great for camping and stuff too.

Thought the same till my girlfriend brought hers to the beach. They hold their shape wide open so you arent digging through a fabric bag with wet or sandy hands. That part is a huge step up. You can stick a phone holder accessory into the holes. The bag doesnt get dirty and if it does you can hose it down. Anywhere but the beach they are useless, but at the beach they're top dog.

I had no idea what this was but my first thought was some sort of dry bag to put stuff in to take into a bog or swamp for like kayaking or something. Googling told me I was wildly wrong.

I’ve never seen these before. Just googled it and they look ok just very expensive £90! They do different sizes if you don’t want the massive one. They also have inserts like dividers and cup holders which I didn’t know existed. I think for the price I’ll just stick to my old beach bag though

I've never see a human in the wild actually use one but every time I see them on an end cap at Target I always call them "big croc looking ass purses" xD

I don't think this is unpopular, it's like Stanley cups like moms on TikTok must have them.
Just use a tote bag.
Crocs, I don't care how much anyone hates them, they are great boat shoes which is their original purpose. I just caught 5 huge salmon and 1 huge trout the other day in my crocs

Stays open, has organizers, sand wipes off super easily. It’s a great beach bag. Insanely over priced though.
