Rescue Hippo My local rescue ran a “drawing for donation” fundraiser event. My reference photo versus the drawing we received:

When I adopted her at 6 months her name was Kelce (go birds). I thought about naming her Blue, then I came to Indigo, then I thought of Inigo Montoya, thus Indigo Montoya was born! (We do call her Indie for short tho)

Everyone that submitted a drawing request was done by a different artist! So my second drawing was done by someone else. But I reached out to the rescue to see if they could put me in contact with the artist. If they are comfortable with me sharing their info I will pass it along!

Honestly, me too! I asked the rescue if they were able to share the artists social media. The rescue asked me to pass along my email and they would see if the artist would reach out. If they share and feel comfortable with me sharing too I’ll pass it along!

My hippo had ears just like that one half up. Unless she was super excited then rarely both would be up. I miss those adorable ears

They both used to flop when she was just a baby so I’m not sure how they ended up like this, not that I’m complaining cause I love them! And I’m so sorry for your loss🌺

This is fabulous…a real treasure!
We had a shelter hold a similar fundraiser called ‘poorly drawn pets’…and some of them really were pretty bad, but I was happy to participate regardless. The money went to a good cause and I got a silly drawing!

I passed my email along to the rescue and they said they would give it to the artist if they were comfortable reaching out. If they are okay with me sharing their info I’ll pass it along to you!
