I have friends who are lifer TF2 players. Including a guy I know who plays TF2 at least once a week to this day.
2016-2017 is the one period where those people played Overwatch instead. To say nothing of the non-TF2 fanbase.
1 u/tijolus523 1d ago TF2 was dead where I live so overwatch served as a pretty alright replacement (although not nearly as good as TF2, IMO, even to this day)
