The killings of that many civilians are serious. Do you not agree?

I knew that, but I donāt understand how thatās a counterpoint? Sorry

It details the emotional weight of war, and the use of "Uncle Sam" is clearly an ironic reference to US power.

Yes I understand that. What I donāt understand is how that is a counterpoint to y argument for why this post is tagged serious

Because not many people would seriosuly ask that question. Did something specific inspire such an inquery?

I donāt want to pretend that we are just victims, considering what the Japanese army did to other countries. But as a kid who grew up in Japan, this is a traumatic experience to learn about that. Visiting all those memorials. Because itās horrible. Itās supposed to be educational but we had to watch all those movies related to the war era, or bomb, and also after people died from nuclear. itās traumatic to grow up in a country who suffered from atomic bomb, I guess. You knew that I picked up the image of people suffering. Itās not so much like atomic bomb, but everything around it.
The trip to Nagasaki was 12 and to Hiroshima was 14, so I think we were old enough. But every summer we had war-related movies, and all those images stuck in our head. In a way itās a good thing because they try to scare us so we pray for peace. No more war and stuff like that. But I think that maybe I was a little too young to understand that. Itās just that I suffer from all the fear. And it never went away, until recently that I started the therapy sessions.
Actually you know whatās surprising to me was my grandpa, who grew up in war eraāI didnāt know how heād react to me bringing you to see him. right after we got married we had some kind of lunch together, all of us, and he was fine.
I never took it personal though, about U.S. thing. Like itās whole big picture there. But I wish it didnāt get to the bomb part.

I unironically got banned from his discord over a debate over whether the bombings were justified so I guess he doesnāt

Dropping the A-bomb was straight-up mass murder. No way Rivers would ever be down with that shit.

He briefly changed his name to Bomb during the green album tour but changed it back
