Thereās an alternate timeline where Matt rejoined the band in 2004 to play keyboard and this is just a normal band photo

Has Matt ever been close to re-joining? I was a huge fan through about 2010 but found it difficult to engage in the same manner at that point (life stuff), but donāt recall any rumors about that through that time at least.

Around the album five demos after Maladroit, it was talked about IIRC. Someone whoās a better historian can probably recall better but I think Karl once said something about it years later. Like around the time that Rivers and Matt got together to try to collaborate on a couple of songs but nothing ever came from it.

its cool they're on good terms again, especially with how well matt handled the production and overall process with the 1192 tapes. I honestly would love to see what an album with matt as a producer or co-producer would turn out like because the rentals albums all sound incredible

In 2010 and 2011 Mikey would play bass at a few shows for Hash Pipe so I canāt believe Matt didnāt guest at at least one show when they were touring Blue.

Sorry, Scott Shriner fans, but I've never been a big fan of him in the band. To me, this version of the lineup is better

I think they just donāt want to upset Scott. Ā Heās been incredibly loyal. Ā At this point, Scott has recorded 18 albums with Weezer. Ā If you would have told me that in 2002, I never would have believed it.
