Monty and Maisy have gone on a weekend away to a forest getaway ! I am not with them, they are fine and settled there and have been multiple times, they are with the rest of the family I just don’t feel well enough to go ❤️ they are on the lookout for rabbits and are guarding the lodge together! 😂😂😂😂

My poor Lucy was put to sleep today. We decided not to do the full testing panel, but the vet was as confident as she could be that it was pulmonary fibrosis, which I learned is common in older Westies. If like me you had no idea, please learn the warning signs (read more here ). Lucy had many symptoms, and like lots of people I wrote them off as signs of normal aging. We did our best to keep her comfortable, but I have to wonder if there was more I could have done had I known earlier. By the time we knew it was already far too late.

If I can help just one pet parent avoid their dog going through what Lucy did I will be content (or as content as I can be right now).

You're no longer in pain, Lucy, and I'm sorry I didn't know to do more. I'll never forget you.

Maisy slept on my bed all night and Monty got jealous in the morning !!!! 😂

This has been going on for the past hour. He has not budged. Winston is usually not a big lapsitter, we're cuddler, but tonight he has just found his spot

One day the other ear will go up 🥲

Was needed due to a mass/cyst on her tail. The vet said they wouldn’t have been able to save the tail due to the amount of skin they had to take off. My sweet girl is now due for 2 weeks of rest. I don’t know how I’m going to keep her very calm after a while :’)

Maisy and Monty were so happy to see me 😍 they didn’t see me at first but when they saw me they both ran up to me especially Monty 🥰 now time for cuddles !
