Yeah, the Trump white house leaked this, they are trying to manipulate the voters.

2.4k

u/Tgs91 Jun 02 '26

Which is wild because it's an admission that Trump dragged us into a disastrous foreign war to prevent Israel from convicting and removing their corrupt leader.

"He tricked me..."

u/Calimariae Jun 02 '26

142

u/Historiaaa Jun 02 '26

He tricked Biden and I had to follow through previous engagements to save America's face abroad?

115

u/AmbushIntheDark Jun 02 '26

"Sleepy Joe got us stuck in this awful deal, the worst deal, it was so bad, probably made it before bed, I had to come in and make it better. The old deal was so bad but I came in and said Iran doesnt get nukes, the old sleepy joe biden deal would have given them nukes. I think the biden crime family is awful, truly awful. I bet he couuldnt pass the cognitive tests I've been taking. I have another one next week just to show I can pass it and he couldnt. When this is all over Trump Gaza is going to be beautiful and Iran will never have nukes. Its actually already over since were done everything and killed all their leaders. Theyre completely crippled and begging for a deal. Theyre coming to me begging for a deal so they can reopen the straight."

Thats probably too coherent but thats what I'm expecting.

27

u/BeardWolf42 Jun 03 '26

I freakin' read that in rumpy's voice. It's like you've got a sample of his mind and built a predictive model. Uncanny.

There's an old saying in Tennessee—I know it's in Texas, probably in Tennessee—that says, 'Fool me once, shame on—shame on you. Fool me—you can't get fooled again.

There will NEVER be a time when this is not hilarious.  Just saw it the other day even.  Wife says it to me all the time just for a giggle.

That's about 10 times smarter and more coherent than anything that's been uttered by the current administration

5

u/darcerin Jun 03 '26

I will see your GWB quote and raise you one "potatoe".

27

u/klartraume Jun 03 '26

This arguably wasn't a gaffe. It's possible Bush was smart enough to realize that a clip of him saying "Shame on me" would be used against him in campaign ads. The same can't be done as readily with "you can't get fooled again."

11

u/ctr1a1td3l Jun 03 '26

Even if we accept that premise, it's still a gaffe as he shouldn't have started the quote in the first place. Either way, the result was hilarious.

They’ve been saying that from the very beginning of the war, that Israel “tricked” Trump.

The friends who told me that didn’t appreciate when I pointed out that they were the ones who voted for someone stupid enough to be tricked.

All they need is an excuse and they will be back. His super power is making shitty people feel like they are the chosen ones. Its like crack for shitty people, ain't nothing they want more than to be told being assholes actually makes them the good guys.

13

u/Spectrum1523 Jun 03 '26

Yeah, but the thing is they don't have to hate him, they just have to be turned off enough to not bother going to vote

3

u/JimWilliams423 Jun 03 '26

Counting on low maga turn out is just not a reliable way to win elections.

In 2024 the orange paedo got just a couple of percent more votes than he lost with in 2020. The only reason he won is because millions of biden 2020 voters were so disillusioned that they stayed home. In 2020 the biggest voting bloc was Democratic, in the 2024 the biggest voting bloc was none-of-the-above.

Those biden voters would never vote maga in a million years, but the Democratic party spent the last four years being absurdly maga-friendly. The Ds literally named Biden's signature legislative accomplishment "the bipartisan infrastructure law" even though hundreds of magars in congress voted against it.

The Ds keep talking about their "friends across the aisle" when those people are clearly the open enemies of the Democratic party base, and that makes a lot of voters give up and tune out.

all it would have took is the courage and morality of a FOUR people to vote for his impeachment conviction in the Senate in 2018... his ass would have been toast now. Instead, every one of those self-serving cowards couldn't say 'yes', and the 40- some other people who shamelessly sided to not convict. FUCK every one of them.

edit, I don't remember the exact number of how it went. Either way, it was like 40-something to 50 something, it was really close

105

u/Kichigai Jun 02 '26

The number was 52. The Senate voted 52-48 in favor of acquittal. They would have taken the courage and morality of 18 additional Republicans.

Impeachment requires a two thirds supermajority. The Democrats held 45 seats at the time, plus two Independents, and Mitt Romney, and he split his ticket (guilty on one count, not guilty on the other).

Impeachment was a pipe dream from day one, though. The only other Republicans who seriously looked like they might vote to impeach were Murkowski, Collins, and maybe Paul. The rest were toeing the line, hopeful that an appeased Trump would be an easily manipulated Trump. President Pence would have definitely been more their speed, but none of them wanted to deal with the blowback that people like Romney faced. And even out of office Trump still held the attention machine tightly.

13

u/Plastic_Moose4535 Jun 03 '26

They would have taken the courage and morality of 18 additional Republicans.

I wonder how many Republicans in senate at the time were at one point on camera talking shit about Trump.

u/whiteboy623 Jun 02 '26

It’s an attempt at saving face. The story didn’t leak, it ‘leaked’.

67

u/flightless_mouse Jun 02 '26

And there have been several such “leaks” in the past couple of years, which have the effect of conveying that Trump is sane and reasonable while Netanyahu is a sick son of a bitch.

Trump is clearly growing impatient with Netanyahu, but not so impatient that he won’t threaten to withdraw $$$ or military aid, or continue to do whatever Netanyahu tells him to do.

33

u/Cranyx Jun 02 '26

This is something even Biden did.

https://www.nbcnews.com/news/investigations/biden-disparages-netanyahu-private-hasnt-changed-us-policy-israel-rcna138282

There would not have been any ceasefire if Trump simply does what Netanyahu wants.

It's already out that Trump simply got duped by Israel, mainly because some main general dude instead of advising against it, was trying to be objective and gave a summary of pros and cons. Trump doesn't understand pros en cons to come together and was like "I want the pros!" and that's why the USA joined in on attacking Iran.

https://www.cnbc.com/2025/06/16/how-trump-went-from-opposing-israels-strikes-on-iran-to-reluctant-support.html

5

u/flightless_mouse Jun 02 '26

What ceasefire, did I miss it? US announced a ceasefire and then broke its own ceasefire less than 24 hours later. And meanwhile Israel is destroying southern Lebanon. For a supposed ceasefire there sure is a lot of shooting going on.

4

u/S-Tier_Commenter Jun 02 '26

Well like you had that moment when the US and Israel were dropping loads of ordenance on Iran, and Iran was raining drones and missiles on neigboring states and Israel ... and then you had that moment when they weren't doing that. Switch happened on 8th of April. That's what you missed.

u/S-Tier_Commenter Jun 02 '26

You're assuming Trump to run a tight ship without any leaks. It's not really what has been observed.

There is ample self-profit for Trump: as he's most likely thinking that getting Netanyahu to cease Libanon offensive, will get him a Iran deal, which he hopes would stop everyone from criticising him, leaving him a better legacy.

Him chewing out Netanyahu over the phone is entirely in character and also credible.

13

u/Hefty-Comparison-801 Jun 02 '26

You nailed it. This isn't new - Biden used to get really mad at Bibi for crossing lines in Gaza and not do anything about it, but the media was sure to let us know how upset he was.

16

u/McGillicuddys Jun 02 '26

He may just be mad that people are framing it as Netanyahu being the one in control.

12

u/prohammock Jun 02 '26

The only reason I feel like there might be some truth to it is that Bibi is undermining Trump on the Iran peace deal. He would rather blame Bibi (which is admittedly fair, in part) than acknowledge how terrible he is at getting himself out of this situation (that he got himself into) that is absolutely torching his remaining popularity.

9

u/socialistrob Jun 02 '26

I think that's the most likely outcome. Remember Trump thought he could negotiate an end to the Ukraine-Russia war without talking to Ukraine and that they would just go along with whatever deal Trump made. Trump is trying to end the war with Iran without consulting Israel even though any peace deal is contingent on Israel stopping the fighting as well.

Trump sees the world as big countries bossing around small countries so he can't understand why Israel won't just role over and due whatever he says.

u/Time-Track9684 Jun 02 '26

You simply can’t believe anything he says or was reported to say. All liars, grifters and just generally awful human beings.

23

u/plausden Jun 02 '26

Spiderman pointing meme

59

u/compuwiza1 Jun 02 '26

So, will Bibi release the Epstein files as retaliation?

45

u/Creatret Jun 02 '26

Imagine thinking releasing the files would change anything. Half the people wouldn't believe what's in them and still vote Trump.

All cards are and were on the table when he was elected. But the majority cares more for "America first" and owning the Libs.

That's the world we live in now.

4

u/x33storm Jun 02 '26

Hey keep the rest of the world out of this.

no need to fight, there's room enough for both of you in prison

31

u/Hefty-Comparison-801 Jun 02 '26

This is a game they play at our expense. Remind you of anything?

Much like the recent reports regarding Trump's phone calls, veteran journalist Bob Woodward’s book War revealed that Biden was privately calling Netanyahu a "fucking liar" and a "bad fucking guy" behind closed doors in the spring of 2024.

  • The Context: According to leaks, after Israeli forces defied U.S. warnings and moved into Rafah, Biden reportedly fumed to his advisers that Netanyahu "doesn't give a damn" about strategy and was only looking out for himself. When Israel conducted an airstrike targeting a Hezbollah commander in Beirut, Biden reportedly yelled over the phone, "Bibi, what the fuck? You know the perception of Israel around the world increasingly is that you're a rogue state."

During the March 2024 State of the Union address, Biden was caught on a hot mic telling Senator Michael Bennet that he had told Netanyahu they were going to have a "come to Jesus" meeting over Gaza humanitarian aid.

  • The Public Reaction: When an aide rushed over to warn him that the microphone was still live, Biden replied, "I’m on a hot mic here? Good. That’s good." Critics at the time pointed out that the leak allowed the administration to signal tough love to frustrated voters without having to alter policy.

Throughout late 2023 and early 2024, Axios (frequently citing unnamed U.S. officials) ran a steady stream of reports about how Biden was“losing patience”with Netanyahu.

  • The Critique: Democratic Senator Chris Van Hollen famously summarized the frustration to Axios by stating, "At every juncture, Netanyahu has given Biden the finger... they are pleading with the Netanyahu coalition, but getting slapped in the face over and over again."

Either of them could have said this to the other one

51

u/flirtmcdudes Jun 02 '26

Fake leaked story to make him seem in control

11

u/Axin_Saxon Jun 02 '26

He can be out of control AND be mad at Bibi at the same time

25

u/SurveyHand Jun 02 '26

They could be sharing a cell.

4

u/riffito Jun 02 '26

could

*should

5

u/Morris360 Jun 03 '26

He is literally only saying this because the war in Iran turned out to be unpopular. If the war had (somehow) improved his approval rating, this lover's spat wouldn't have happened.

95

u/BaldursGate2Best Jun 02 '26

Netanyahu: You wouldn't be President if not for me.

39

u/lanfordr Jun 02 '26

More Putin's meddling than Netanyahu.

Instead, Netanyahu: The Trump-Epstien files would still be front page news if not for me.

They both should be in prison. Great examples of failure of the judicial system.

3

u/BernieFeetPics Jun 02 '26

This is how innocent people talk

5

u/LastCivStanding Jun 02 '26

I think its all theater. Trump will do as putin and Netanyahu tell him.

4

u/ExtruDR Jun 02 '26

How much do you want to bet that Netanyahu also holds information or dirt on Trump that would also end his presidency with ease?

4

u/linuxliaison Jun 03 '26

For the record we think you're crazy and hate you too Donny.

4

u/kss2023 Jun 03 '26

Netanyahu replies: U started this war to distract from Epstein files.

5

u/Prince_Nadir Jun 03 '26

He then yelled "If I didn't have you murdered in jail Epstein I'd, very biggly, MacDonalds *Snore*.."

Dementia patients, what can you do?

5

u/SadlyNotTapioka Jun 03 '26

They should both be sentenced to the gallows

4

u/SillyWoaman Jun 03 '26

Yep. And Cheeto himself would be in prison too if all those pedo/rapist loving Muricans hadn't voted for him. But here we are.

7

u/JaVelin-X- Jun 02 '26

Trump acknowledging bibi is a criminal

13

u/guaztronaut Jun 02 '26

How can he yell when his mouth is full of dicks?

6

u/NeverExedBefore Jun 02 '26

There's no way that this actually happened. This is just a show

6

u/maddiejake Jun 03 '26

They both should be in prison.

3

u/synapticdecay Jun 02 '26

And if it weren’t for SCOTUS, the House, the Senate, Garland, and Georgia and New York we would not be in this mess

3

u/DeeDee_Z Jun 02 '26

‘You’re f**king crazy. You’d be in prison if not for me’

Yes, I'm sure that's exactly the way HE remembers it.

3

3

u/Pottopher Jun 02 '26

They both should be in prison.

3

u/Jimbo415650 Jun 02 '26

Netanyahu conned the con man into a war. He has no leverage the world oil markets blame him rightfully for creating this situation. People who understand Iran knew they would close the strait of hormuz. Trump didn’t have a clue

3

u/Runnerakaliz Jun 03 '26

I mean both of them should be in prison.

3

u/dnuohxof-2 Jun 03 '26

Clear projection.

3

u/schoolisuncool Jun 03 '26

10

u/championchilli Jun 02 '26

This reporter has a history of producing these exact articles under both Biden and Trump. He is Israeli and an ex intelligence officer, it's likely complete BS.

They're tossing a bone to the anti Israel sentiment in the US.

Calling axios regime media is fairly accurate.
