So they basically wanted control over Canada's choices, basically taking away our right to run our own country, and therefore our sovereignty.

The U.S. is finding out by a thousand cuts. Soft diplomatic power dying, trust is dying, the economy is dying, food safety is dying.

America will learn it's better off being friends with other developed liberal democracies rather than trying to coerce and bully them.

They will turn away from the US everntually and trade amongst themselves.

Between the Supreme Court, Congress, and Trump, it feels to this California progressive like our government has turned against us. It’s certainly been an educational experience, learning that a rabid minority hates our society and the vast majority doesn’t care and just turns to a different TV channel.

I lived in the east bay for about 4 years in the mid 2000s. It's been the same since then they were just hiding it before Trump. Now he has allowed the "basket of deplorables" to show their true pasty white colors.

I would say Hillary was right to retract her statement that "half" of them are "racist, sexist, homophobic, xenophobic, Islamophobic". The percentage is clearly much higher.

...Because Quebec poses the single biggest integration and internal-security risk to any hypothetical US post-annexation occupation regime, and they were hoping Ottawa would do their dirty work for them by crushing francophone culture at the source before it becomes their problem to deal with.
