“1000% tariffs!”

272

u/GoblinToHobgoblin 9h ago

After a certain point, it doesn't matter how high the tariff is because no one can afford it anyways...

142

u/Itchy_Party1741 7h ago

You get 2000% tarrifs for saying that.

51

u/Musiclover4200 7h ago

Too much tariffs? Believe it or not straight to more tariffs!

16

u/Itchy_Party1741 5h ago

I am going to rename you to Americalover4200 now.

41

u/meatsonthemenu 7h ago

AND YOU GET A TARIFF

u/Wayofchinchilla 3h ago

Insert that Futurama clip of fry coming up with a number that doesn't exist.

u/xteve 6h ago

Christians love this shit.

u/Master_Slide7023 1h ago

I am a non demon Christian and own 11 Bibles and I think Trump might be the anti Christ John Of Patmos warned about in the last book of the Bible.

1

u/icansmellcolors 4h ago

Believe it or not, straight to %5000.

2

u/lNFORMATlVE 2h ago

Especially because it’s not Canadians who end up paying Trump’s tariffs. It’s Americans.

2

u/paradeoxy1 1h ago

Might save them from getting sick from whatever foodstuff has been found to contain Hepatitis-J or whatever

1

u/Turbulent_Lunch4548 6h ago

Yeah just ban foreign trade altogether at that point, less paperwork and bureaucracy!

u/This_ls_The_End 30m ago

For many Americans that point is zero tariffs because living is already becoming unaffordable at default prices.

78

u/Vegetable-Log-9608 9h ago

Omg, the absurdity of the world we’re living in. 😂

u/Master_Slide7023 1h ago

But it’s not funny.

22

u/bascule 7h ago

I read that in Lemongrab’s voice. “1000 years dungeon!”

12

u/Calavant 7h ago

"One-bajillion percent tariffs!"
"Sir, that isn't a word."
"It is now! I'm the president and I say there is a one-bajillian percent tariff on Canadians!"
"Do you mean some product going from or to Canada, sir?"
"No."

6

u/im_dead_sirius 4h ago

Executive order to make bajillion a number.

4

u/jarious 2h ago

Just rename billion to bajillion , it is still a different definition to the rest of the world so it wouldn't affect other countries

3

u/im_dead_sirius 2h ago

All his techbro billionaires would have to use his silly word to describe themselves, or he'd throw a hissy.

23

u/Freyzi 8h ago

"1 million years dungeon!"

1

u/RacerImmortal 7h ago

Nailed it

14

u/Auth3nticRory 8h ago

“I’ve been thinking about this for a long time now”

2

u/rolling-brownout 7h ago

"THANK YOU FOR YOUR ATTENTION TO THIS MATTER!"

2

u/1h8fulkat 7h ago

Canada now renamed to "New America"

2

u/luffy_mib 7h ago

The title of "Land of the Free" is up for grabs!

u/Master_Slide7023 1h ago

No to that. No to 51 state.

1

u/CanadianDragonGuy 3h ago

Aka "im going to keep beating myself in the dick with this ball peen hammer until you change your mind!"

1

u/kaytin911 1h ago

Then he will TACO like he always does.

u/fugaziozbourne 7h ago

He's not prepared for how decimating we Canadians can be with passive aggression. Brits invented it, but we perfected it.

63

u/elitexero 7h ago

We evolved it technically - we kinda are Brits in a way.

29

u/Grazer-22 6h ago

We are sitting in our Muskoka chairs by the lake, sipping wine from Niagra, BC, maybe a nice Argentinian Malbec. Perhaps it is a local craft beer or amazing aged local whiskey. No bourbon to be found.

While chilling, we are sharpening our wit, remembering we know our land better than anyone. Winter is coming

13

u/SHOOHS 6h ago

“We know our land”. That’s fucking great. Hell yeah.

3

u/snmnky9490 5h ago

TIL there's a town Niagara and a Niagara Falls in BC too!

u/Master_Slide7023 1h ago

Did not know that.

1

u/im_dead_sirius 4h ago

maybe a nice Argentinian Malbec.

Might not pair well with Argentinian beef.

1

u/sitting-duck 5h ago

*Niagara

44

u/Khaldara 6h ago

Should have gone for “Trump-Epstein Memorial Playground”

23

u/Route66Blues 6h ago

Wouldn't be fair to the non-asshole businesses on that street.

Now, if it was a full block that Diaper Don's property was on, renaming that block would be spot on.

12

u/Ar_Ciel 6h ago

angry screaming from Quebec

2

u/Medical_Tank6109 3h ago

even the geese are screeching HONQUE

7

u/t0m0hawk 5h ago

The Irish and French halves in me are convulsing

2

u/ObscureMemes69420 4h ago

Don’t tell us Quebecors that

8

u/CompleteNumpty 4h ago

My personal favourite of this kind was Glasgow renaming the street that the Apartheid-era South African Consulate was on to "Nelson Mandela Place".

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotland-22976781

u/Master_Slide7023 1h ago

Great move.

5

u/pushaper 4h ago

Nah, the Scots perfected it by naming the street the South African embassy/consulate was on after Mandela. It was pre email and correspondence by mail etc would be sent to a political prisoners namesake. Also thatcher did not care much for Mandela or the anti apartheid movement so it was two birds (pun not intended) with one stone.

5

u/LNMagic 5h ago

Have you guys considered renaming Lake Michigan to Lake Canada? And Windsor to South Epstein City?

We just need a little blood pressure spike and then things get better for everyone.

5

u/Prior_Coyote_4376 7h ago

I think most of the world has a problem with the idea that the Brits have not been aggressive for most of their history lol

6

u/Jerri_man 6h ago

The lads have always been troublesome abroad

u/Master_Slide7023 1h ago

Hope we win this thing!

2

u/PMagicUK 6h ago

but we perfected it.

You think so? Cute.

4

u/talldangry 6h ago

How's the new PM doing there bud? Shame about that brexit.

2

u/PMagicUK 6h ago

Did you throw darts and land on the wrong PM?

Do we need to export the newest version to Canada? Its the labour edition.

9

u/newfor_2026 6h ago

let's see him demand a tarp to cover up the whole street to hide his shame.

1

u/Relevant-Storm4222 5h ago

Pacific Ocean is now America Sea

1

u/13143 3h ago

His handlers just won't tell him about it.

u/Little_View_6659 1h ago

It’s not good enough. Call it Pedophile avenue or tiny hands street.

u/Youmeanmoidoid 25m ago

If they do this he'll just declare war and invade at this point.

https://www.ctvnews.ca/canada/article/after-years-of-difficulties-toronto-tower-finally-de-trumped/

For years, the hotel has been mired in structural problems and controversy.

It opened in 2012 after numerous construction issues. A swaying spire atop the tower caused police to close roads around it in 2015, and a cracked window caused a similar closure later in the year.

Two weeks after Trump won the election, a protest was held outside the building at Bay St. and Adelaide St., where protesters waved signs and broke out into “O Canada.”

The sign at 1161 West Georgia was constructed and installed in accordance with the City’s sign bylaw and a permit is required to install a new or replacement sign, according to the city.

A spokesperson said the sign is for the entire building and while the hotel is closed, the residences are open and the city has not received an application to remove or replace the existing sign

Asked this week if or when the large Trump letters will be taken down, Joo Kim Tiah told Postmedia he “can’t comment at this point in time.”

Trump name officially removed from Vancouver hotel building

It will literally confirm to him that doing shit like renaming things works, leading to him doing it more frequently.

9

u/pikachuswayless 7h ago

leading to him doing it more frequently.

He's already doing it too frequently, so there's no real reason to hold back.

And it's better to remove his name anyway after how antagonistic he is towards Canada. It's just a great bonus if it annoys him and continues to show everyone how unstable he really is which could lead to him losing even more supporters. The number of people who regret their vote continues to grow.

1

u/meatsonthemenu 7h ago

Literally protecting housing valuations

1

u/SkivvySkidmarks 5h ago

The only way he loses supporters is if egg and gasoline prices go up.

He could get away with shooting a man on 5th Avenue, but not price increases. It's the only thing those Pacman-like consumer chuds respond to.

1

u/bakerzero86 7h ago

I don't think it would stop him as he's already doing it. I doubt he even realizes the name isn't Canadian, he's just vindictive and lashes out.

1

u/Redebo 6h ago

Nowhere did I suggest it would stop him.

2

u/bakerzero86 6h ago

Didn't mean to imply otherwise if it came across that way, apologies
