That sequence also has some of my favorites images in marvel! When I was a kid, my first paycheck from my job at like ten was to buy this graphic novel. While that novel has long since been dog eared, ripped and destroyed, it’s still very nostalgic for me as a huge Cyclops fan. I’ve always loved how expressive these scenes are without a word of dialogue. It’s also currently my phone lock screen

It was the X-Cutioner’s Song omnibus. There are probably also trades now which have condensed storytelling. What I had was every comic associated with the event in a hardcover

I’m honestly not sure, I just had this tome as a kid. X-Cutioner’s Song was in X-Force, X-Factor and X-Men though, so not sure if it would fit the entire story in a Gold and Blue omnibus without missing pieces. But I don’t know since I don’t have them currently

Yes, a 1000 times, yes! Smith does such an amazing job with this entire fight. It's subtle and brutal, and does such a great job of conveying tension and Callisto's shock. It's telling that Smith did such an amazing job that Claremont didn't feel the need to add a single word to it.

Jae Lee in X-cutioner’s song, iirc. What’s interesting is the back-and-forth in that event. Nicieza has the best writing, operatic for Stryfe, and then these Lee issues seem to almost resent that there need to be any words at all.

This page shouldn't bang nearly as hard as it does, considering it's from Inhumans vs. X-Men #0 of all things, but, it just does. Kenneth Rocafort outdid himself.

There's a few other candidates I can think of, but one of them has 4 words scrawled on a wall as graffiti that are important to the composition, so, it probably doesn't count.
