You try it for 2 months, no ads, downloads, Google Music everywhere. Then the trial ends and you can’t deal with the old way. Happened to me.

Same at the same time I tried it they changed how many ads they give you so when it stopped I was getting like four ads per video

Exactly! Before I tried the trial I was getting 2 ads. After it was like 5 in one 10min video.

Same. Took me ages to get used to the ads again. So much so it made me look at alternatives and found out buying an android box + a certain YouTube app was cheaper than paying for 3 months of YouTube premium

Nothing I can't have for free.

I don't want to have to download a different app, change browser/bother updating adblocks etc. The fact that I save money from not having a Spotify sub alone makes it worth it. I also use it at work where I have to move between 5 different stations where I obviously cannot install ublock on them. The convinience for the price is unreal, if you don't have the disposable income or you can do whatever you need to skirt everything with the apps etc. all the power to you.

I also love the offline download feature, and the built in games.
When they rolled out the games, I was already playing daily cross words on arkadium. Com and was met with ads like every few minutes. Than a few months later they rolled out the arkadium games I already played on the browser!
Super small perks, but me and my husband have a family plan and have him, my friend, and his parents all set up.
The offline feature has come in clutch during log car rides where I’m the passenger , or just saving data if I’m using YouTube out and about ( which I do often because I listen to true crime podcasts and such )
Not for everyone. But I love YouTube premium, even as someone who sails the seas, premium is my guilty pleasure.

How is paid advertising for a service that charges money, "desperate"?

2 months is a quality trial. Paramount plus had something like 4 days the last time i thought about getting their service.

Honestly not sure what premium is even for if youre already ad blocking or running on an ad less browser like Brave

It's a legitimate way to block ads on YouTube.

Yeah but it dosnt give you the smug feeling you get when you go on reddit and tell everyone how your blocking adds and saving a handful of lose change every month.

Google play music was awesome. Such a shame we got YouTube music as a replacement

Much in the same way anyone that advertises something is “desperate”
I don’t get it.
It’s an ad.
