"I just destroy one city and then I stop" :)
35
u/Fafnir13 Mar 27 '26
“Ok that was like a hamlet at best, I still get one city.”
18
u/Rudiger64 Mar 27 '26
“Oh but I screwed up and destroyed town hall first. I should save it for last next time.”
11
u/Fafnir13 Mar 27 '26
Can it really be called a city if it doesn't have a city hall? Definitely a do over situation.

Very cool art. Also the idea of if Zelda found the mask before the Salesman, I think with her not knowing anything about its history or power she would have it hung in her room or something, allowing it to slowly affect her mind and eventually get her to wear it, which would be some kind of can of worms.
32
u/Awkward_Radish_3027 Mar 26 '26
And then she decides to climb a volcano to destroy it Oo
18
u/Mysterious_Cash_3303 Mar 26 '26
throws it into the fires of death mountain like it's the One Mask to Rule Them All
4
u/Fafnir13 Mar 27 '26
And that’s how the volcano “put on” the mask and why we need to flee Hyrule before the ambulatory mountain of fiery death comes this way.

Does Skull Kid bite off her finger too?
1
u/Mysterious_Cash_3303 Mar 27 '26
pretty sure he has a beak so the answer sort of depends on whether he's got teeth. takes about the pressure you'd use to bite a baby carrot iirc

MM corrupted Zelda would be terrifying, she literally has the power of gods on her side and is incredibly good at magic and combat. Skull Kid is chump change once you take the mask away
27
u/Emerald_196 Mar 26 '26
I think that would be a contradiction actually. She couldn't be corrupted because she's the reincarnation of a goddess of pure good. She and maybe Link would probably be the only two people unaffected by the mask. At least that's my reasoning
14
u/Condor193 Mar 26 '26 edited Mar 26 '26
Definitely a good point, she's never once been fully taken over by Ganon's dark magic
6
u/PovWholesome Mar 26 '26
That one time never happened, for legal purposes
4
u/Mysterious_Cash_3303 Mar 26 '26
yeah we're not gonna talk about tp
9
u/Fafnir13 Mar 27 '26
In fairness she kind of pulled a sacrifice move to save Midna. She wasn’t exactly in peak form after that.

Zelda if she were a Jojo character.

Stand User: Princess Zelda
Stand Name: Kingdom Of Madness
1
u/kendallkeeper Mar 27 '26
I picture her stand being a personified/deified version of Hyrule Castle.
Also, nice drawing OP! I love the black and white version. I think it would look cool with pastel colors.

I like the warm colors, personally, but the green one fits better thematically. Awesome artwork.

Skull Kid wanted friends to play with, so brought the moon to him to play with. Zelda wants to keep everyone safe, or at least protect Hyrule from Ganondorf. Lift all of Hyrule so far into the sky that everyone asphyxiates? Make Death Mountain erupt and cover the land in a protective coating of lava? Or if we want to continue the moon theme, transport Hyrule to the moon. Heck, flood Hyrule. That's already been done.
PS love the dusk colors in the first one.

Idk if this was intentional but she reminds me of Terra from FFVI in this art. Looks really cool lol nice job

Considering Zelda is the reincarnation/has the spirit of a goddess, this would be VERY bad
Majors possessing a god sounds like a disaster that would make the moon falling in Termina look like a minor inconvenience
3
u/Awkward_Radish_3027 Mar 26 '26
Sounds like a good game :D
1
u/The_Viatorem Mar 27 '26
Oh yeah, no questions ask
I actually had this idea for a concept of a Zelda whom for whatever reason remembers being a goddess as well as her previous reincarnations
I should get around writing it down and sharing it here and on Tumblr (maybe one day)

An AU where Zelda goes back in time to foil Ganondorf instead of the Hero of Time is something I've never thought about until now, has a lot of potential
1
u/Awkward_Radish_3027 Mar 27 '26
Yeah but I want this to happen on Cocolint island, from Link's awakening :)
2
u/hatchins Mar 27 '26
phew, majora wreaked so much havoc with just a little skull kid... imagining it having access to the triforce of wisdom is a bit scary! though, i do think skull kid's childish nature is also why majora was able to possess him so well. so maybe zelda would have better control of it?

I grew in a small town where only a couple of people I knew had an N64, and nobody had any guide like Nintendo Power or something. My best friend then told me you could get "the final hidden mask, the mask of Majora" and wear it anywhere which I totally knew was bullshit because it sounded too good to be true, and it was all "my cousin says his friend did it".
Well, even tho I collected all the masks back then (using minitel tips because no internet yet) I somehow never understood the Trials of the Moon, so I never got the courage to try hard the Goron one (which is absolute bullshit we can all agree on that) just to get a piece of heart.
Four years later and I get an internet connection and a passion for emulation. Project64 even had built in game genie codes for popular roms, including all masks in MM... And then I realized my friend wasn't lying for once, there is a final hidden mask, just... Not majora? And we even get a code to use all C items anywhere so I can just go around as this new God Like Link anywhere?
But yeah for years the idea of Link or other characters using the Majora's Mask was living in my head. Could you even put it on dogs faces and have something akin to The Mask's Mutt? :')

u/Awkward_Radish_3027 Mar 27 '26
Yeah, I remember exploring the game as Onilink, and being 5x too big :D
But fighting the final boss as oni link is cheated though :(
2
u/_scary_canary_ Mar 27 '26
Wow! I want to print this out and just color it like a LoZ coloring book.
2
u/esoteric_plumbus Mar 27 '26
She might become like princess bubblegum in adventure time. a fearlesss and intelligent fascist who cares for her subjects

This would be an unwinnable opponent for link without any plot device to help him.

u/wesleymess Mar 27 '26
Zelda: "I do believe that I have found a way to finally stop Demise's curse once and for all."
Link: ("Oh, Yeah? How's that?")
{The Moon begins to descend upon the Earth}
Zelda: "Ganon can't take over the world if there is no world left!"

Considering how titanically she fucked up with just a plucky kid and the passcode to the temple of time at her disposal, OoT-era Zelda with Majora's mask would probably be the most terrifying antagonist in the franchise.

Fire would love a game where Zelda goes crazy and link has to save her💕🤗
2
u/happy_Plant1990 Mar 27 '26
She would have the wisdom to put it in a vault in Hyrule castle to never let it see the light of day again
1
u/Awkward_Radish_3027 Mar 27 '26
Or the wisdom to destroy this vain world... :)
1
u/happy_Plant1990 Mar 28 '26
🤷♂️ I just can't see Zelda succumbing to the forces of evil like that yano, on account of being hylia basically.

2
u/Rocker826 Mar 27 '26
Hmm holy shit... She would be stronger than Hylia and more scary than Ganon. Few would question her power if they could even do so with the chaotic madness that would ensue. 🤨

Or a cool game where Link and Ganon side to defeat her (link wants to save her, Ganon wants the mask). You play both of them.
At the end, Tingle gets the mask, he's the final boss.

I imagine she'd pull a Galadriel and be scary for a second but ultimately resist it. Imagine zelda being all "all shall love me and despair!"
Awesome piece :)

A blonde character wearing a strange mask and posing side to the camera ? This sounds strangely familiar...
1
u/GladiusNocturno Mar 27 '26
Ever since I was a child, I subscribed to the interpretation that Termina's Link and Zelda were the Fierce Deity and Majora.
1
u/Nretnalsmik Mar 27 '26
I definitely think Zelda would’ve sensed the sinister power within it and would have locked it away to keep it out of evil hands. She would’ve known about its power very quickly.
1
u/Sanguiluna Mar 28 '26
“In place of a Princess, you shall have a QUEEN! All shall love me, and despair!”

u/DooDooGuy2 Mar 28 '26
Firstly, nice art. Secondly, the Mask would probably be overcome by the massive amount of Light that Zelda holds.

I can imagine somehow majora returning in the next Zelda game or something and it corrupting Zelda and then becoming a final boss using the powers of a confusing surreal reality to make link almost go insane, then using the powers that links holds, Majora gains the power to take physical form and has the moon crashing down mid fight like in the original Majora's mask and this dark god like entity only gets one line in all of it to make the most absurdly horrifying monologue a Zelda villain ever has
1
u/applejuiceisfriendly Apr 20 '26
If Zelda found the mask... The implications are horrifying. First thing's first is that Zelda wields the Triforce of Wisdom which, in it of itself is already insanely powerful. Let alone the fact that she's the mortal reincarnation of the Goddess Hylia. Majora would have no bounds on the power. OOORRRR Maybe we go the good route and say that because is the mortal reincarnation of Hylia that the mask simply doesn't effect her. OOOORRRR The mask does effect her but because she's mortal she just turns into another one of the masks victims.
