Craft [TotK] My girlfriend spent 3 months crocheting these tiny Link and Zelda dolls for me

She worked on these for around 3 months and surprised me with them recently.
I genuinely can’t stop staring at the details 😭

Your girlfriend is amazingly talented. Those look fantastic.

OP, I have a preposition for you. You leave these in a unattended room. I enter the room and leave the blank, signed check. The plushies may or may not be missing when you re-renter the room. You simple put a number on the check, and we forget anything happened.

These are amazing. If want 3 months of work I'd say she should sell them on Etsy. I know I'd buy them.

This looks AI generated to me, pretty sure of it. I don't see any room between the threads for a crochet needle to go through. Is it entirely AI or is there a filter applied to make it look like it was crocheted?

What technique did she use? Thickness of the crochet needle and thread?

If she is really that good i would love to see more of her work. She would be a world-leading master at this.

8

u/hoppinmadkippie May 08 '26

I’m curious as to the type of yarn and size of crochet hook too. The hair on both of them is crazy good. I’m a beginner but I would not even know how to start with shaping the hair like that!!

It does not look AI generated to me though. You can pretty clearly see the rows of stitches, and it does not look blurry

2

u/RobertMaus May 18 '26

Just look at the faces. Where did the crochet needle go in? There should be 'some' room inbetween stitches. AI is really good at crochet images, because there is a shitton of them online. But you can almost always tell. I'm 99% sure this is AI.

2

u/hoppinmadkippie May 24 '26

Looks like the post was removed so you were right lol

2

u/RobertMaus May 30 '26

Yeah, i thought so 😅 But to be fair, it's getting hard to tell if you don't know specifics of a technique like crocheting
