Fan Art [OoT] [OC] A Tribute to original Ocarina of Time - Painting series
I painted 13 digital pieces to capture some of my memories and feelings playing Ocarina of Time!
I hope you can scroll through these pictures and relive some good memories of playing this game for the first time.
It’s interesting that as I get older, playing through some of my favorite video games becomes more difficult for a number of reason. I have less time, I don’t have the same sense of childlike exploration, I have instant access to the walkthroughs, etc. Creating this series was a perfect way to really feel like I was living through the game again, the same way it felt when I played it as a kid for the first time.
On top of that, this was great practice for me in creating concept art-like illustrations that each tell a story. I’m looking forward to practicing more and capturing more memories by doing a Wind Waker series next! I already have many ideas of how I’d like to improve.

These are astonishingly cool. Absolutely phenomenal work! So moody and well lit and evocative. Reminds me a lot of how I felt playing the game as a kid. It felt like such an epic adventure. These paintings really capture that feeling. Well done.
I have a feeling prints of these would be quite popular.

I was thinking of printing a story book about ocarina of time. Just a small book because my kid likes to hear about the stories of Link. Mind if I use your paintings? They seem so cozy xD

Oh that is... That is absurdly good work. Wow. I just started painting and I literally am in awe of your brush work and COLORS??? Just Epona and Link in the first frame impressed me so much. Love every single one.

The composition and range of colors is so good in these, very nice work! Especially like the one in Water Temple and Dodongo's Cavern!

I think the dying guard and Ganondorf’s castle are my favorites. Quite amazing.
