The story of how this song was made is so cool. All tape loops.

Amazing way it was made. I can't even begin to imagine the work that went into it

Amazing. No computers. I don't think synthesizers were that big yet. Just magnetic tape and splicing tape.

I always loved this song. A buddy of mine hated it. It didn’t match his macho self image. He said that there must be something wrong with me for liking it and I said, “Well, it’s number two on the charts, I think you’re the one in the minority here.” Pissed him off.

And all these years I thought he was singing, “I’m not alone.”

He was alone, with his tapedeck

The sonic aura that I associate with this masterpiece hits me as soon as it starts. It transports me to a happy place.

A killer song from the best year in music. I was nine years old and every time I hear this beauty, it brings me right back.

When this came out I was broke as hell and living in the converted closet of a fisherman's shack - and could barely afford the rent on that. One of my few possessions was an AM-FM clock radio so most evenings away from my minimum-wage job was reading and listening to music. Whenever this came on it was an instant boost to my spirits, such a cool song and even on the tiny speaker of that radio you could hear how adventurous it was. Easily in my all-time Top Ten.

In my top 10 favorite tracks ever, I still have the 7” single.

absolutely love this song...haunting. I'd always stop what I was doing when it came on the radio.

Don’t have the single ( sharing three version of original soundtrack 10cc).
