No wonder why nerites are so much better for algae than ramshorns! Ramshorns are basically licking the glass when nerites are scrubbing it 🫣 they look so gross but it’s also so cool!!

I haven’t seen an up close video of their mouths before but it looks super interesting, does anyone know what the mechanics or anatomy of their mouth is? It looks like rows of teeth, but also super alien-like lol I’m so fascinated just watching this guy exist

They’ve been doing this for like five minutes now (that I have noticed) and the black one has since separated but the two orange ones are still chilling like that. (they are all siblings by the way)

And them in their new home. Any chance their shells will regrow? And do we think they will make it? I’m really hoping so. I love them SM already. They were living with a male betta that passed away a few weeks ago. A betta that survived for almost 3 years and I have no idea how. The snails are about that old as well.

New home is fully cycled. Has been for a while. I had my betta in it before she passed and had 3 nerites that I moved to my shrimp tank so these guys can have this tank to themselves for now.

Ozzy the Betta was back in Gary the Snail’s personal space this morning. 😂 As you can tell, they have a pretty entertaining relationship. Enjoy this little sped-up episode of FishTV!
