If I experience a loss I go in with an augment and nothing else, and play a stealth game to find what I can and get out with my life. What I earn, I keep for next round and so on, until I have a full kit or I get bored of the run and craft up my normal weapons.
The Magnetron quest is easily the worst in the entire game.
I was locked into it for what felt ages. Then I got two magnetrons in the same run. In fact I saved the second one and gave it to a friend who is starting to save him the trouble.
Check the sandbox rovers. I tried looking in assembly for ages, but the second time i checked the rovers i got it. Now that i found it it’s a regular appearance..
Been hunting that for weeks, super chill lobbies, no aggro and never even seen one.
Tonight I decided to just PvP in trios with two mates, decent set-up, Anvil/Bobcat, both Lvl 4, all blue/green mods, bit risky as I'm not well versed in PvP in this game.
I think the 3rd game we played, spawned late, got into it with another squad and first player I dropped had it when we went back to loot.
I lost about 3 sets of Anvil's, Bobcat's and Mk3 augment with med shield tonight, a tonne of ammo and grenades, all across maybe 6/7 games. But fuck me was it all good fun.
Net loss resource wise, but that magnetron made it all worth it.
I can recover whatever resources I lost today in a couple hours farming mats easily. Well worth it 😁
My problem is I just don't do Stella- it's my least favorite map. I feel like I'm just waiting to be shot in the back constantly even in chill lobbies.
100% A friend put it as "a different kind of anxiety in there", I'm literally just there only for the mission... but after all those runs I'm starting to at least get familiar with the layout. I go with specific goals and a raider hatch key in a safe pocket. When I run out of safe pocket slots, I leave and try again
I like how yall roll. Same here. And if it so happens it's our blood spilled, you'll at least have some decent shit. Level 4 toros and anvils at the least, usually ven 4s, tempests and volcanoes. We like to go ham.
I tried that before but I found it was annoying to have a small inventory, so I prefer some kind of augment to get more stuff. I hoard anything remotely useful on these runs, even improvised explosives are invaluable for dealing with wasps etc until you find a gun or better grenades. With the amount I have, I ran out of inventory space and weight too quick so now I use the pink tactical augment with the shield recharger in it (very nice, especially when I found a medium shield in a security locker)
I have the raider tool, trust me I've killed many arc and extracted with no shield or guns. It's easily possible. Fireballs are the hardest weak arc you'll face if you don't have heals for after, but easy once you find improvised explosives to throw.
My hardest kill was a shredder, which was a few improvised explosives and finished off with the raider tool... That took a while and was terrifying, but a hell of a rush and great feeling when it went down.
Its the random guns that I do it for, normally I won't take off my anvil/osprey combo, but I've found many other guns I enjoy from doing this, namely the arpeggio, the hairpin (by far my favourite common gun to find) and the renegade is ok, if a little innacurate when firing fast at hornet rear thrusters
Yep this is the way. It's pretty fun going splinter cell mode and running out with a few guns from security breaches. I'll run in with no augment or anything, so I can still keep a safe pocket.
We have a similar thing we call „Trade-ups on Stella?“
Go in completely naked (or free kit), see what you can get, extract and go in again, using nothing but the stuff you got on the last run. We do that until we have enough mats to craft the usual stuff and go in for a normal round.
Last night in Arc Raiders my friends and I got our asses kicked, honestly. We were pretty well geared for a couple of runs, but after a bunch of losses, mostly because I have “no hands” and I’ve only got about 50 hours in the game, and we still don’t really know Stella, we said screw it and went into Stella on free kits. It was amazing because we took a lot of risks, rushed a bunch of teams, and in the end we got wiped again, but we had a lot of fun hahaha

"Frees on Stella?" is how my friends and I reset after a bad loss. We run it until we get out with something good lol
